Warning : there might be spoilers for Avengers : Endgame here :

    https://newsarama.com/44544-hasbro-avengers-endgame-product-gallery.html#s95

And I finally saw Captain Marvel this afternoon. The theater was almost empty (and it was not the biggest theater in the multiplex), but I enjoyed the movie. Granted, it's not the best of the bunch, but not the worst either (that dubious "honour" belongs to Iran Man II) And one thing about
the last stinger : be grateful it didn't come out the other side.

Oh, come on, everybody was thinking it !

One day before France, mind you, but still earlier.

As of today, Captain Marvel has become the 7th MCU film to cross the $1 billion milestone. The others being The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War.

I'm concerned these new wave of Marvel films will start to become meaningless due to the fact they are taking place before Infinity War, such as Spider-Man and Black Widow. Whilst I don't know about this for certain, I'll prefer the MCU to push their narrative forward instead of going back to the past.

SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME is actually set after ENDGAME, and it's rumored that BLACK WIDOW will be post-ENDGAME as well.

The rumor I heard was Black Widow was set ahead of Avengers 1, with the focus on Natasha leaving the KGB to join SHIELD. Personally, I feel that's the better story.

Has that actually been confirmed though? If not the trailers seem to have breezed past the fact this is after Endgame.

Far From Home was confirmed post-Endgame a long time before Endgame had a title. A Sony producer revealed it.

So Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz in the same film. Yes, yes, yes, yes.

I do hope this Black Widow film is Marvel's attempt at making a 'film' rather than a 'blockbuster'.

Perhaps this is their answer to The Joker. This should be their first movie since their inception without CGI.

I hope Scarlett Johansson actually acts this time. She's kind of boring in her other appearances, (little facial expressions, sleep inducing monotone voice).

If it is set before Avengers 1, my guess is de-aging effects will be in place. I'm not bothered by that, though, Captain Marvel showed a mastery of that effect.

With Pugh and Weisz around her, she'll have no choice but to, otherwise she'll be completely overshadowed. Although, she already is, in my opinion, because Florence Pugh is one of my favourite actress at the moment, and Weisz is just a legend at this point :)

I have to highly disagree! Scarlett really can act and her performance as black widow is complex and fleshed out she's just a high caliber talent as Rachel Weiz.

I like Johansson as well, although I think she's gotten more confident in the role as the writers have slowly figured out what to do with her (she's a blank slate in her first MCU appearance, the mediocre IRON MAN 2).

The prequel idea sounds unnecessary. I prefer the fragments of back story that we've gotten over the years, which keeps BW's past mysterious. Better to move forward with the character. I'm sure Kevin Feige feels the same way.

I'm wondering if this will be Scarlett's final performance as Black Widow, Hasn't she said in interviews before that she doesn't know how much longer she can wear a skin tight suit?

She wants to work with Woody Allen again, I know that.

I would love to see scarlett and Woody Allen team up again, Match Point and Scoop are two of my all time favorite Scarlett Johansson movies!

Yep. Woody Allen will reprise his role as Dr. Noah/Little Jimmy Bond from the '67 CR film. ;)

Is Allen still directing? I thought his career as a filmmaker was pretty much over.
