That and Thor 4 are the 2 films I am the most excited for in the MCU's upcoming phase 4.

As long as fat Thor is nowhere to be seen, Bale is likely to force Hemsworth into giving his best acting performance that's for sure.

My only concern with Thor 4 is the Guardians of the Galaxy. I heard Taika Waititi said he thinks fat Thor has run it's course, so it might just be a 2 minute gag in the film. I love Fat Thor, but I would hate for them to keep on milking it. Thor 4 is by far my most anticipated phase 4 film, as I love Ragnarok.

Fat Thor was initially funny though I felt the joke got tired later on in Endgame, if Thor had got back to his normal self he could have basically done what Captain Marvel did and would have made her character redundant in the final battle. I think Thor and Hulk were weakened for the finale and sidelined to a degree to shoehorn Captain Marvel into the film she never belonged in.

I didn't see the point of introducing Captain Marvel before Endgame if they weren't going to use her, and I'm someone who doesn't mind the character. As to your point about Thor in the final battle, I quite like that he still says fat, and I think it's an interesting character choice to have him stay the way he is. I'm not sure if Endgame would have treated a fit Thor well, as in Infinity War he shows up to Wakanda and literally disappears until Thanos has the stones. Why wasn't he stopping Thanos get the stones when all the other Avengers were?

Spider-Man 3 with Tom Holland has also been delayed to November 2021. Doctor Strange 2 has been delayed to March 2022 and Into the Spider-Verse 2 has been delayed to October 2022.

Spidey exists for nearly 60 years and now that happens. It just goes to show you that children are dumber nowadays. There's no way around it. 10 to 12 year olds? When I was that age I knew what radioactive was, I knew who Marie Curie was. Damn it, I knew what fiction was, even if I day-dreamt of being a superhero or a secret agent.

Nia DaCosta seems to be a very talented director. I haven't see any of her work yet, but the trailers for her Candyman reboot look very good. I'm sure she was hired by the MCU for her talent, and not because of diversity reasons.

You're vastly underplaying Iron Man's importance to the MCU. It doesn't matter if the first Iron Man film was a "moderate" hit, it was the fact that it was a hit that made the MCU.

It was "The Avengers" that really made the MCU, not "Iron Man". Phase I of the MCU - at least before "The Avengers" - wasn't exactly brimming with major success. The first two "Iron Man" movies were modest hits. The other films - "The Incredible Hulk", "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" - barely made money. I can only wonder what would have happened to the franchise if "The Avengers" had not turned out to be such a major hit.
