A little concept idea i had recently:
A 9-episode period Avengers miniseries set in the 1960s. The miniseries would touch on several of the political and social conflicts of the time.

I still have not watched the second film, I bought the first one though only seen it once.
Well, the second movie was definitely worse than the first but still I'm going to see part 3. For Tom Hardy, mostly.
BTW Trailer looks okay to me.

My favorite Xmen film is First Class, I am all for more Marvel period pieces. I think Fantastic Four will be set in the 60's also.

To be fair the Venom 3 trailer was pretty good, I am just not overly keen on the CGI for Venom.

I thought he was being looked at for a Star Wars movie after D & W and the final season of Stranger Things. Oh well, just Lucasfilm being Lucasfilm, I guess.

Looks fun, it appears they are hiding a lot in the trailers which is good.

I agree; it has a bit more of a serious tone.

That is exactly what hooked me with this trailer, we will get some more great character work with Logan. The humor is good though there has to be some depth also for me to be invested in a film.

I have to give credit to Ryan Reynolds, I remember seeing Reynolds in one of his earlier films 20 years ago and he immediately reminded me of Chevy Chase.

Reynolds really does have great comic timing when the script is good.

I've seen people saying there's a spoiler about an actor in that trailer; I've watched it and I don't know what they mean; is that right? I've seen the previous Deadpool movies but I didn't spot anything that seemed too surprising..?

Oh yes , a fairly big spoiler
    Dafne Keen, from Logan

Ah okay, thank you. A bit too oblique for me!
    Only seen that once!

Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom Marvel Hall H Reveal | Comic Con 2024

I am bored of variants and multiverses, if the multiverses continue just bring RDJ back as Iron Man.

Kang clearly is done, MCU in panic mode.

I'm prepared to see how they make this happen. Course I don't get my knickers in a knot too much about actor continuity. Having Charles Gray be Henderson and then Blofeld never bothered me. LOL!

I was more happy to hear that the Russo's are back! Love all their previous work with the MCU. This will bode well for Avengers 5 and 6.

Infinity War is in my top 3 of MCU films, Endgame I was not so keen on the cracks were showing in that film.

Admittedly the Russo's are safer hands than what we have had in recent years not including Gunn.

RDJ is not good casting for Doctor Doom IMO its stunt casting and desperate from Marvel though RDJ no doubt will get paid well.

It's probably some multiverse bologna where he's Doctor Doom but he's transported or others are transported to that universe and everyone thinks it's Tony Stark

Isn't this Doctor Doom an evil variant of Tony Stark? The Avengers Secret Wars logo is in Iron Man colours.

Even though RDJ was originally considered for Doom in one of the older Fantastic Four films, it would be nice to see new faces in the MCU.

In one iteration Stark is Doom which I am not a fan of, I rather see a fully realized Doctor Doom with no BS.

Its already clear how they will set up RDJ Doom against whatever Avengers turn up.

Edited: it is far from just being Marvel though I am tired of lazy writing from franchises I used to love.

I honestly think that they should've tried to introduce the multiverse differently, for example:
    Ultimate Cinematic Universe (UCU)
A much shorter cinematic universe, this time consisting of only sixteen movies divided in two phases, each one of eight. Set in a MC2 (Earth-982)-inspired universe, where the Marvel heroes arosed during the late 1990's-early 2000's. The overall story arc would be about the rise of a new generation of Avengers.

You can bet RDJ will get his boatload of cash. He said after the introduction "You know how much I love playing complicated characters." That might be code for "They made me an offer I couldn't refuse." LOL!

I wonder how Bond fans would react if Craig, Dalton or Brosnan showed up in a future film as the villain? Would it be accepted or revolted against. It has a tinge of stunt casting, though somehow I think this is better than bringing him back as Stark. That would really render the ending of Endgame as a waste.

I think the multiverse might work well in comics but in film it removes all the stakes. Gunn has already mentioned that DC will have different universes. We shall see how this all plays out.

Read my post on the franchise destroyed thread. This feels like Emperor Palpatine being brought back from the dead, when both characters died the death of deaths. The filmmakers throwing away an emotionally powerful ending, for a forced shock value. I'm sure the acting will be fine. But, it just doesn't feel right. Also, so much for Downey having a unique acting career after winning an Oscar for Oppenheimer.

Thankfully, I don't think EON or IFP would talk down the audience as bad as the MCU has in recent years. Nor would they try anything as bonkers as different Bonds in different timelines, meeting each other.
