Jon is the best of all those actors combined. Just perfect!

Wow. I mentioned Hardy as a potentially great Frank Castle a while ago. I had no idea he actually lobbied for the part himself.

Actually, it says Sony's films all inhabit one universe, but the others aren't connected to the MCU. It's a confusing article, though.

I'm glad that never happened. I actually like the four actors, on some level, who have portrayed him so far. Hardy just wouldn't do the character justice.
Dolph Lundgren had that psycho look that fits the Punisher well and is my third favorite portrayal of the character. A man with nothing to lose and he doesn't care if he lives or dies as long as he takes his enemies out first.
    DolphPUNISHERMK.jpg
Thomas Jane looks the least like the Punisher but had the most realistic and my second favorite portrayal of the character. He had that tormented and hurt soul that the Punisher needs.
    tumblr_mdus5ylFmD1qb442xo1_400.jpg
Ray Stevenson almost looks like he jumped out of the comics but the guy just didn't do it for me as the character and is my least favorite Punisher. I never believed he was the Punisher while watching it. I will say that out of the movies it had the best action but the worst story and characters.
    Punisher%2C_Ray_Stevenson.jpg
Jon Bernthal is the perfect blend of all the previous actors to play the character and he is my favorite Punisher. Like Stevenson he looks like he jumped out of the comic, like Jane he has that man 'who's been be hurt and is now lost' look in his eyes, and like Lundgren he at times has that psychotic look that shows you really don't want to mess with the man.

I like Hardy as an actor (looking forward to more Mad Max and the new Splinter Cell!) but he's just no Punisher to me. So on this one, we will just have to agree to disagree.

Sure. Or disagree to agree as it were.

Bernthal's Punisher is the only one that made me curse myself for agreeing with him at times. He doesn't feel wrong a lot of the time, and morally, that's frightening to admit. He displayed something that Fleming would call "soul-erosion" quite beautifully-or rather, tragically. That scene with him and the ex-marine on the rooftop broke my heart. A man who's lost his humanity, finding a scrap of something to connect to for a fleeting moment.

Just a small sample of tweets from film critics after seeing spider-man Homecoming.

This film and Keaton as the villain is getting unanimous praise!

That´s interesting, because after the trailer, lots of comments claimed Keaton´s Vulture to look like nothing special.

That's the thing. Everybody is a damn critic and judges a movie by it's trailer. Watch the movie then give an opinion.

I don't think I've ever seen Keaton phone it in. Guaranteed killer performance from him I would think.

Funnily, that´s the impression I got from the trailer :-)).

I'm not reading through this thread, to avoid comments on the film, but my biggest worry going into this is Keaton's performance. I worry about good villains period in these movies, but I just don't like this take on Vulture or anything surrounding it. It just feels like, because a lot of good foes have already been taken, we're stuck with Vulture as opposed to the filmmakers actually wanting to use him.

Hope I'm wrong on that, but upfront there's no way it'll beat Dafoe or Molina's work in the first two Spider-Man films.

#SpiderManHomecoming is the Casino Royale of Spider-Man movies. Tons of fun with subtle nods to '80s teen comedies. A top notch reinvention.

Crucial part, good character, adds emotional weight to the story.

Still surprised by her inclusion. Seems like Disney is trying to get parts in big movies for its actresses : Miley Cyrus in GOTG 2, Zendaya here. Next we'll see Bella Thorne as Mary-Jane Watson in the next Spider-Man.

Wait a minute... That wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.

Heh, Marvel Studios have done it yet again. Spider-Man Homecoming is going to be another critical hit for Marvel Studios. It seems that Feige is the only producer in Hollywood bothering to actually be good at his job. On another note, just saw Grace's review.

As for I humans, I'm ambivalent towards it, however, my interest for the show starts and ends with Serinda Swan. Been crushing on her since Smallville.
