007 theme is one of my favourites, it's over due for a return to the films

I fully agree. It can be done, and it should be done.

I'm just posting low tech without a clip or YouTube post. Just listening to a Bond playlist and just heard Sheena belting out FYEO. The song never gets old and has aged rather well when you compare it to the rest of the soundtrack. (unrelated note but DAD by Madonna hasn't aged nearly as well!)

I love Sheena's big vocal and the energy of the song. To me it's a classic Bond theme and it's a shame it didn't win the Oscar for Best Song. The title sequence always plays in my mind while I give it a listen. One of my favs to be sure!

FYEO theme and score has grown on me over the years, its a good listen in isolation.

    OHMSS/AVTAK Suite

    Decent variation.
    FYEO

Scratching my head as to why I don't own this Essential... Album.

The City of Prague OHMSS arrangement is based on the concert version arranged by Barry in 1972. I first heard the City of Prague recording on the menu of the SE DVD of OHMSS, which was the first ever Bond DVD I owned (OK, those are way too many acronyms).

The Prague recordings that are a bit of a letdown are the freefall music from Moonraker (wrong instrumentation and chord voicing) and especially 007 and Counting (wrong chords). Otherwise, they are fine renditions. Some of them have a faster tempo, probably because they wanted to fit more music in the CDs.

Interesting, I listened to all the tracks on YouTube most was pretty decent. I found the CD on ebay so ordered it.

There's a more recent collection by them called "The Sound Of Bond" which has more of the recent Bond themes (I think "Essential" came out in the 90s) plus it also has a selection from their Bond Back In Action vol 1 and 2.

These guys are great. As I recall, someone asked them if they would consider recording an album and they answered it was on the cards. I'll buy it if it happens.

They have got an album of their live show.

I saw another similar looking CD afterwards that had 50 tracks on, I'll compare the track listing when the CD I ordered arrives, I may buy the expanded CD also.

There is also The Ultimate James Bond Collection to consider. 4 CDs though it only covers the films up until DAD.

Yes that was the CD I saw, new for £9,99 I'll probably end up buying that also.

I really like this song and wish it had played over the end credits. I liked that short lived tradition of having two songs like from TLD-TND.

I love the Garbage theme, but the one from Straw is pretty great as well.

Claire De Lune great music, CR67 does have one or two excellent pieces of music amongst the chaos of the film.

Easily one of my favourite post-eighties score tracks. Love how Arnold doesn't hold back on the brass – just like I want Bond scores to sound like.

I just watched a rescore of the SF pre title sequence with that piece of music, totally illustrates what's lacking from SF.

It's rough though I remember watching the film with my brothers and mates, we all just wanted the SF score to go for it.
