"Sleep well my dear, James Bond is here" - Dreams of 007

Ever had a Bond-related dream? This is the place to share it!

What caused me to open this thread was a dream I had last night.

In that dream, Naomie Harris shared a link to a live stream on social media. The stream was a press conference with Barbara, MGW and Pierce Brosnan, looking just slightly younger than he does today. Barbara, rather laconically, said "Pierce's adventures are going to be increased to 5", and the crowd cheered and applauded. Pierce then said something like "I'm honoured to be back" and I immediately logged on to MI6 to post the news.

Then I woke up, slightly disappointed when I realised it was all a dream. Disappointed not so much because Brosnan isn't coming back (I do like his Bond and wish he had done one or two more, but he's too old for the part now), but because we still don't have any kind of news on BOND 25.

I guess I should stop reading this thread right before going to bed. :))

I searched for a similar thread but couldn't find one. If there is indeed a similar thread, feel free to lock this one up. :)

I once had a very strange Bond related dream. I was sitting on the couch in my living room watching TV and a trailer for a new Bond movie starring Brosnan came on. I don't remember any details about the movie, except that it was titled "Is it Wrong to Speak English in China?" I'm not sure what the heck triggered that dream.

By the way, @gt007, I hope your dream comes true. :D

I dreamed I was on a mission with Brosnan's Bond, in the course of which he was knocked unconscious and I had to carry him to safety.

(Please note, I am 5'2. But I'm fairly confident I could manage Real Life Pierce Brosnan in a fireman's lift if the occasion demanded.)

The other day I dreamt I was watching an alternative version of NTTD, or another Bond film entirely. Craig Bond was being held captive by some bad guys in a small, dilapidated house next to a city highway. He was tied to a chair, hands behind his back. At some point the bad guys (who were comedy bad guys, clumsy and dumb) got distracted by something, they probably started laughing, and in the meantime, Bond escaped. He was afraid they would catch him again, but it didn't happen. He turned a corner on a street and got away.

Now he was a fugitive, not just from the bad guys but from the authorities, for some reason (he had... gone rogue?). And he was in a shopping mall collaborating with a moustached Henry Cavill. They had to get into a department store for some reason. Cavill got in, but Craig was detained by a security guard at the entrance. Cavill devised a plan to get him to escape from the guard. Then, they both ran into the store while being chased by the store personnel. I don't know what they were looking for, but the point is there was a water slide inside the store and they both fell into it, or threw themselves into it. The slide went through every area of the store. They were being carried by the water, and at some point the slide split into two paths. Cavill went one way, which led into another area of the store, but Bond went the other way.

He went through a dark tunnel that led to a jungle (made me think of the last part of the Blood Stone video game). The jungle was huge, or he had shrunk down to the size of an ant. The river (that's what it was at this point) flowed parallel to the edge of a very tall cliff. To the left of the cliff, at the bottom, there was a lake. Everything was surrounded by much taller cliffs with green foliage on them. Between the river and the edge of the cliff there was a concrete wall, which I presume kept water from falling below. Bond got out of the water and started walking on top of the wall in same direction as the water flow. He was now wearing his commando outfit from NTTD, with the sweater and everything (I don't know what he was wearing before, but it wasn't that). He was truly an ant in size when standing on the wall; it was three streets wide. The river to his right was, what, thirty streets wide, at least? The wall had a bluish, shiny metallic color.

    Then I woke up.

I had a dream where Vincent D’Onofrio was Blofeld. And he was saying, it’s all your fault, I think. He would have made a great Blofeld, I think.

My mate has this recurring dream about Brosnan being hounded for autographs at our local shopping centre and driving him away in a limousine. I think they go and have cocktails afterwards as well.

@MaxCasino … he’d make an excellent Blofeld in the mold of the man described in the Thunderball novel.

Thank you @peter. And yes, Sir Michael Caine would be great as well! For any Bond role.

A while ago I dreamed that Timothy Dalton wanted me to help him set up his website. I'm still disappointed that this was the best secret forbidden desire my brain could come up with.

Several months ago I had this dream that Brosnan's Bond and I were about to inflitrate one of my former work locations. After donning evening attire in an undergorund cellar (similar to the one in NTTD), he fixed me up with Natalya to escort me and Wai Lin to protect me. He then took off on a motorbike to perform his part of this assignment. As Wai Lin, Natalya and I strolled thru a work place holiday party, I woke up.

In this dream, Brosnan's Bond looked like he did in TND.

In many ways a terrible film, but in others, a wonderful one.

I will do my best to dream it! Oh...not that one :)

Thinking about it, it was a Bond dream that originally brought me to this site.

I was on a mission with Pierce, and when he got knocked out in a fight I had to take him in a fireman's lift to get him out of the building. (Pretty sure I could lift Pierce if they just let me try.)

That got me in the mood to dig out my GE cap gun, which made me wonder if it was worth anything, and googling led me to a thread here, and the rest is history.

There was one dream a year or two ago where I was walking down the street and there were a clan of ninja. Maybe six to ten. They were dressed in, not blue, but black, so I should've known something was amiss. I scrambled back up to my apartment to find weaponry, pulling out a tray from the cupboard. On the tray was a P99 and one throwing knife. I left the apartment and returned to the street where I vaguely remember shooting at them, before waking up. I'm not sure if I was Bond, or the sole connection being the Walther. The only thing certain as I awoke to reality is

I've only seen a bit of it on cable, but I want to watch the whole thing. From what I saw, Timothy Dalton, who I'm sure you'll agree is a fantastic actor, was great in it. He has such a knack for comedy.

And you can bet he researched his comedy Ruritanian accent so it's consistent and realistic :)

I don't usually have these, especially one I remember so well the next day.
I think it's due to reading this thread so much yesterday... https://www.mi6community.com/discussion/12609/where-does-bond-go-after-craig#latest

So the dream was, I had an exclusive viewing of Bond 26. I don't know where I was, or who I was with. But the Bond film starred the late great Sir Roger Moore.
He was brought back to life using CGI and super imposing his face onto another actor. Like they did with Peter Cushing in Star Wars : Rogue One.
Moore's children apparently approved the use of their fathers voice.
To make things worse, it had been decided that a lighter movie would be the tone of Bond 26, more jokes and gags. For some reason the end of NTTD was referenced in a sort of Dr. Who regeneration way. If that wasn't enough, the film was a literal remake of Goldfinger!
An almost exact remake set in current times, with Moore using way more quips than normal.
It was a travesty of a thing. Afterwards, I asked why they (EON and the director) had done this. I was told it was a way of making one of the all time classic Bond movies, for an audience of today, and bringing back Roger Moore, for a more lighthearted take was not only much cheaper, but would give a different take on the film.
I was asked what I thought, and I remember saying, there will be some fans who like it. But most Bond fans are going to hate it so much.

That was it, that was my weird and disturbing Bond dream.
*(Cue someone posting - 'Your dream, whatever sort of nightmare it is, hasn't a chance.')*

I dreamt last night that while rewatching GE there was a scene where Brosnan’s Bond does a spontaneous break dance that I’d previously forgotten about. Apparently it was just after the train scene and he does it in order to prove to Natalia that he’s really an MI6 agent (for some reason this proves this fact undeniably). In the dream I was watching it with a friend of mine and this was their first Bond film (to clarify this person has watched Bond before in reality). She liked it but claimed the dance scene was very ‘dated’ and 1990s. She couldn’t imagine Craig’s Bond doing it.

I don’t usually dream about Bond films, but that was a strange one… definitely a crime against cinema that we never got this.

That actually sounds like something that would happen in an Austin Powers flick.
