You and I have really very different ideas of what makes a James Bond movie.
Didn't we have a FILM A vs FILM B thread? Because we're not going to have all those threads again, that's for sure.
I'm not going with the "it gets better with every reviewing" argument. SP to me captures the essence of Bond much better than the Jason Bourne action porn from QOS.
I agree. Jason Bourne action porn even rhymes! The biggest problem with QOS is that the action is cut and edited to death, to the point where it's unenjoyable and every scene incomprehensible. I heard somewhere that the average time per shot in QOS is two seconds. Ridiculous. I often wonder what a re-edit could do for the film.
I think this particular battle/comparison deserves its own topic tbh. There has been some fierce discussion going on about which of these two Craig-films is actually better. RottenTomatoes and IMDB can't agree so far. In the Facebook Group 'Bond Fan Enthusiasts' it does seem that the less critical Bond fan voted massively for SP.
We've had these little topics before, and it seldom goes sunnily. I'm gobsmacked we've had such a quiet bit of voting so far. I say we count our blessings, get the votes tallied and move on, as this discussion has rather worn itself out.
Wouldn't a poll option be best for this? (because I want to see Spectre win, because I love it when common sense prevails).
Completely agree ;-). Keep voting ya all ;-).
It's horribly flawed, as is SP, but SP at least feels like a Bond film.
It's quite close and QOS has indeed got better with age (and a smaller screen) but I'm going to have to side with SP on this occasion stepbrother, Newman and all.
QoS wins.
