The poor guy hasn't had one for some time and seems to be spiraling into an ever more entertaining vortex of incoherence.
If I was God I'd lose faith in people believing in me. What a failure they are.
We are not bullying you: we are replying to your "arguments". So far you've given us no reason to believe there's a God and given the picture of a deity unworthy of respect let alone worship.
I hear that cartoonist is now in deep cover.
Still waiting to hear the intrinsic distinction between reasonable Christian beliefs and those crazy out there ridiculous Islamic ones...
Cue Draggers scuttling hastily for cover....
Or coming to knife you or run you over,.
I'm not making fun at all, but being deadly serious. It's a brave cartoonist who mocks Islam after the Danish Muhammad cartoons of some years ago. Perhaps you've forgotten about that? It would seem so.
Christians don't tend to behead people for free speech.
Not everything in life is a joke. Calm down.
Well I am a Dragonpol.
Ironic, as you're the one running away from the Truth.
Are we to assume that the reason you've capitalised the word 'Truth' is that you are alluding to the word of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? Oh dear.
I very much remember the Danish cartoon controversy and find the cartoonists admirable. Even more so those who were murdered at Charlie Hebdo. I agree that Islam is now a nastier religion but that doesn't make my question less relevant and your refusal to address it quite staggering: you laugh at Islam but not as Christianity. Why is the former laughable but the latter reasonable?
And don't give me that "Islam is more violent" cop out. Islam is now the most violent, most openly nihilistic religion. We seem to be all in agreement here. That doesn't give Christianity a free pass for the wrongs it did and does but more importantly it's irrelevant to their respective claims to truth. My question has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with your criteria of validating a claim. Or rejecting it.
I won't waste my time replying to that with anything meaningful as it doesn't warrant it.
You are talking about truth. How do you assess it?
It's contained in a book called the Bible. Seek it out for more details. Or, if you're short on time, Google it.
Oh dear. We're back to the semantics class again. How tiresome.
Absolutely NOT: how do you assess a claim as true or false? That's not semantics that's critical thinking.
Come on no more dodging: why are 72 virgins waiting every martyr a stupid claim, but the resurrection of Jesus legit? A is false, B is true. How do you come to this conclusion?
Not really.
Either talking snakes exist or they don't.
Babies either get cancer because nature is random, harsh and indiscriminate or there's an infanticidal psycho sat on a cloud causing them to have it.
Get some new arguments. The record's broken.
How about answering my question:
Come on no more dodging: why are 72 virgins waiting every martyr a stupid claim, but the resurrection of Jesus legit? A is false, B is true. How do you come to this conclusion?
@Ludovico has asked the same question on this page alone and yet you still refuse to answer. Here it is again:
Come on no more dodging: why are 72 virgins waiting every martyr a stupid claim, but the resurrection of Jesus legit? A is false, B is true. How do you come to this conclusion?
This is beginning to turn into the infamous Paxman v Michael Howard interview which I'm sure you have seen and which Howard looked an absolute fool. And *spoiler alert* but in this exchange Paxman you certainly ain't.
Because I'm terminally stupid and no doubt mentally ill, according to the Wizard. That's no doubt true as well. Sadly where I live one can't be sectioned at all and therefore not for holding views many now see as irrational. Happy now?
I am not sure if you are trying to play martyr or are only trying to be sarcastic, but you are still dodging the question.
Christ was the original martyr so I don't have to play at it. I don't claim to have all the answers either. Call it what you want.
I can give you my answer: l dismiss both claims as they are not supported by evidence. Until someone brings conclusive evidence of either claim I don't think either are true. Same method, same conclusion.
