    @Fire_and_Ice_Returns, I think that's called a cape. ;)

No Bond related items on the wishlist this year, but got the new John le Carré book, A Legacy of Spies (in Norwegian translation), and the new Dan Brown book, Origin (also translated). Will probably start reading one of the books during Christmas!

Has anyone had the chance to read these?

My fiancé gifted me the Sideshow Pierce Brosnan Legacy figure still in box and the James Bond Archives HC book. Really happy with these. Had to rearrange my Bond collection and split it up between multiple shelving units to fit these new additions.

    BTW... Merry Christmas everyone.

Nothing Bond related to report, but I got a record player from my parents in addition to some books and clothes.

To give context to the first item, my mother was providing care to an older neighbor of ours who later passed away and while I was helping the late woman's family clean out her house her son gave me all his old 50s and 60s vinyls he no longer wanted. Now I'll actually be able to enjoy them instead of letting them sit around.

    I got laid.
The only thing Bond related to that is that I used several witty one-liners.
I have practically incorporated them into my daily vocabulary.

And no, I don't only come once a year on Christmas.... ha ha ha....

My step daughter got me this amazing present. Quite chuffed I was!
  • I also received the Ocean Royale cologne today, and I'm grateful it carries a name that doesn't smack too seriously of geekery! It'll make a nice change of pace from the Quantum I've had and loved. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Ocean Royale smells like.

Also...the new hardcover Felix Leiter graphic novel!

Artwork looks great and like just the kind of dark yakuza-noir story I'm looking for. Felix Leiter is such an awesome character. It'll be fun to dive into a story that brings him to the forefront in a modern setting.

That's some nice cover art by Mike Perkins! Met him once at a comic book convention back in 2011, where he had a two-day comic book script course with Howard Chaykin. Have to check out the Felix Leiter comic book soon!

Nothing Bond related. But I got the usual toiletries and clothes, a novelty tea tray with my dogs face on it, and some Doctor Who DVD's (4th Doctor & 5th Doctor).

I got a Secret Agent Alarm Clock (it projects the time when you pull the trigger). Now I can sleep with a gun under my pillow!

Nothing strictly James Bond related for me, but I did get some good scotch, which won't go to waste as long as I keep my head.

Reading a few of the posts from above, it appears I'm not the only one that Santa didn't get all Bondian for.
Although I did get 'Becoming Bond' starring George Lazenby. So not completely devoid of OO7. When you've been a Bond fan as long as I have it's hard to find anything that I don't have already.

In my family we do small, fun presents on Boxing Day, and I got this lovely pack of cards (though why is Bond on the sixes, not the sevens?):

Sadly, nothing Bond related this year. Not for a good few years, in fact.

I got the le Carré on the day it came out and I haven't read it yet. I have a bit of a backlog on the To Read front.

Excellent! I know you're a great appreciator of the retro, like me, so you definitely need one.

@Agent_99, I'm definitely an old soul and to me vintage is where it's at. Gives me an excuse to pick up other vinyls too, which I've been happy to see the resurgence of in the market. CDs and digital music files just don't get you there like record players do.

I made sure I got these books for my friend. What better way to make a long-time Bond fan(atic) happy!

It's a special edition of the latest Splitter/Dynamite release BLACK BOX.
Plus the 4th edition of the classic comic strips in high quality book form.

I was amazed to find the 007 fragrance when I was shopping before Christmas. He'll like that very much.

Probably because you have everything Bond related that you could possibly have.

Me to! Usually put le Carré on top of the 'to read' list when I have the chance to read one of his books.

I was given a radio and an atomiser. I was told never to touch the latter until I was told to.

@Torgeirtrap, a new one. The brand name is Onyx, though I'm not familiar with what's out there to say what that means quality-wise.

Wow, @mattjoes, you're super lucky. Radios are all the rage at Q Branch.

Not familiar with the Onyx brand myself, either. No matter the brand, playing actual records is a lot of fun! I find that I listen "more" to the records when playing from a physical format. Need more albums, though!
