RIP Nadja Regin, sadly we are losing far too many classic Bond actor/actresses already this year. Thoughts and prayers to her friends and family.

Tania Mallet and Nadja Regin both helped to make GF very special.

Somebody kindly wrap Honor Blackman in cotton wool for the rest of this month please!

Well Ms Blackman is 93. And for that matter Shirley Eaton is 82. May they stay fit and well, wherever they are.

The Connery girls are starting to leave us. :(

Thankfully, Honor sounds pretty tough. I think she will be around a little bit longer.

Another beautiful, iconic addition to the series lost. RIP Nadja Regin, and as always, thanks for the years of entertainment.

Let's face it, people: Considering that the early Bond movies came pretty regularly, rather than today's, we must get used to this kind of news for the next fifty years or so. Not that most of us are likely to last another fifty years or so. Growing old is still better than NOT growing old, and life happens to end with death.

American character actor Seymour Cassel, passed away on April 7. He was 84 years old. He had received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 1968 John Cassavetes' film, "Faces". Cassel had worked in numerous films for both Cassavetes and Wes Anderson. He also appeared in films such as 1991's "Dick Tracy" for Warren Beatty and the 2000 comedy, "The Crew".

Nadja was so memorable in FRWL especially...when she's lying upside down on the bed tempting Kerim Bey...

    "Be Still!"
Nadja was a key element in what made Kerim Bey such a great Bond ally.

Now that David Picker has passed away, who is left of those who were instrumental in bringing DN on screen?
    • Sean Connery
    • Ursula Andress
    • Monty Norman
    • Johanna Harwood
    • Marguerite LeWars
    • perhaps one of two among the "Byron Lee and the Dragonaires" band...?

I missed that David Picker died over the weekend, certainly a huge player in bringing DN and the Bond franchise to the big screen. RIP.

Looking to expand on @DarthDimi 's list, I thought Count Prince Miller was still with us, but everyone's favorite jump up club dancer passed last August, looks like it wasn't widely reported as we missed it in this thread.

It also looks liek Richard Gregory, the waiter from the casino scene passed in February.

Nikki Van der Zyl was instrumental in many of her dubbings and is still with us. I'm sure there are another dozen or so extra roles, stuntmen, crew that are still with us.

Sad news to hear that David Picker has died. He was there for Bond from the very start. We owe him a great debt of gratitude as Bond fans.

Agreed. He took a chance on the Bond franchise back in 1961 and we’ll be forever in his debt.

Picker always came across in the DVD extras as a true Bond fan, someone who really loved the series. Without him things could have been so different.

Rest in peace to one of the many artists that made me enjoy my all time favourite James Bond film. A true genious sadly not recognised for his job on GOLDENEYE. He turned a James Bond film into a brilliant masterpiece after five consecutive TV-looking Bond films.

    RIP Terry Rawlings. :(

I saw that but couldn't find any official confirmation. What a big loss, he also edited some of my other favorite films, Alien and Blade Runner. RIP, Mr. Rawlings.

He also did The Saint and Entrapment, both very good films (also with Phil Méheux as DP).
Shame he didn't return for CR, altough Stuart Baird also did well.

Now I feel like watching all those terrific Rawlings-edited films. Rest in peace, Mr. Rawlings.

On a general note, what a shame it is to see this thread getting bumped. Never a good sign.
