The best posers are the ones that subtly allude to the theme or story of the film.
U don t have to be a horror fan to enjoy Angel Heart. Have you seen it, TT?
The new version also has a cool one:
No, I haven't. @Thunderfinger. Only seen very shorts clips from it. If I find the time this Christmas, I'll give Angel Heart a try!
Love it when they play around with the type design! The poster for the original is great in all it's simplicity, but the poster for the new one isn't bad either.
You're right. It's also considered a detective story and can also be classified as a thriller or suspense too, so it touches on several genres.
That's actually a really good tagline!
Pretty cool poster for a pretty cool Christmas movie.
Never seen that one before actually (the movie, not the poster). The poster is great though!
Great film by Darren Aronofsky. Cool variant poster that I hadn t seen before.
Power and Higher Power

(1969)

Second, among the actors, we can recognize a name : Neil Connery, Sean's brother. Yes, he did some things after Operation Kid Brother
That film is on my to-watch list! That's a great poster; really lovely line art on that illustration. Made me think of the black and white comic strips of the 40's, 50's and 60's – like Rip Kirby etc.
I have a soft spot for typography like the one used on this poster. I have a book about mid century typography, and that book is filled with stuff like this.

Love the typography on this one, @Tracy!
How do the newer films hold up against the originals, @BT3366?
Lovely artwork! Have you seen Boniface Somnabule, @Thunderfinger? Looking it up on IMDb, it looks like a fun plot.
Had a look to see if I could find the film, but no luck. Maybe it will pop up somewhere at some point.
And both movies are available on DVD in France.
