It's worth watching for Bruce Dern he is excellent in Silent Running
He's an excellent actor. Strangely enough, I haven't seen many films he plays in.
Horror is a genre that often has great imagination with posters, I remember having this on my wall in the 80's...
I like the Mondo poster of the same film below...
I just rewatched the ending to recap, that finale still unnerves me, that line you mentioned sounds familiar I must have read about it at some point.
Looks interesting! Might have to check it out.
Nice posters, @Thunderfinger! I like how many old movie posters have this "cut and paste" design like the top one. Really like the colours in that bottom one too. It's a shame we don't see movie posters like that anymore.
Great movie art...
Lovely details! Never seen his artwork before. Would never have guessed that the Jaws poster he talks about in the video was a screen print; didn't even know stuff like that was possible with that printing technique!
________
Great posters, @Thunderfinger. That The Invisible Man poster looks very, very dramatic. Great use of contrast.
It's the first time I have been able to put a name to that art, it really pops with the detail.
The Invisible Man with Claude Rains is a fantastic film I have it on dvd.
Saw it once several years ago. Should probably watch it again at some point.
Cool posters! Would be interesting to watch these films if they were real.
Possibly the poster the Lugosi image was taken from.
Love posters like these. These posters often ends up looking far better than the originals too.
Good find with the Lugosi source image!
Though I remember Bill playing an Indian lol
The Natalie Wood image I think is from The Searchers
Pretty cool poster
Include two movie's with Sean Connery.
Robin and Marian
The Man Who Would Be King
Of course not worth the money. Only 1 disc releases with some of them with DD 2.0 tracks. There asking € 9,99 each.
Earlier this year i bough 3 keepcase boxset with three movies on BD for € 9,00, with atleast same extra's as 2 disc dvd. Even as single release you pay 9,99 - 12,99 for BD.
That's the one! Frank McCarthy artwork, perhaps?
Might not be worth the money, as you write, @M_Balje - but that's some gorgeous looking covers! Wish they could stay away from using overly Photoshopped artwork and use stuff like this for releases of older movies.
