Ive got Rigg Avengers ger 1sh , this movie seems to have disappeared , only poster/lobbys to proof it was ever shown in cinema , France also released such a movie but prolly different episodes edit together.....West claims Batman Londinium trilogy released overseas , never seen such a poster , terrible trilogy imo

Let's go back to a time where they put together episodes of a TV series and released them as a movie, with The Green Hornet :

    American original (I think) :
    Green-Hornet-5262.jpg

    Chinese :

    French :

    And German :
    the-green-hornet-22170-movieposter.1902.jpg

Again, some really nice Bruce Lee posters, @Gerard! The American one is hard not to notice, just because how colourful and different it is. My favourite of these is perhaps the Chinese one though.

I watched The Parallax View only a couple of months ago, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns. It's a great film. There are several great poster for that movie (the one above included!)

It depends , from 50$ to several 1000s , the more rare the more costly : OHMSS ita advance 1sh could have paid for 2 vacations but it means more to me than just $ , it has great historical value : only Lazenby movie , art only used in Italy

I gladly pay 150$ for HK/Singapore Bruce Lee posters , well worth it , vhtf

No surprise posters can be that expensive! Wouldn't know if I could justify paying $150 for a poster, though. It would have to be something really special, that's for sure!

Still about Bruce Lee, here's the second Green Hornet movie (again, four episodes put together and marketed as a movie after Bruce Lee's demise). American poster :

The American poster for the second Green Hornet movie is also a standout one! The style certainly looks recognisable, but I can't place or take a wild guess who the artist is. Love the crosshatching details. The French one looks familiar, but I might actually be mistaking it for a paperback cover I saw a while ago. It had nothing to do with Green Hornet/Bruce Lee, but it had a similar layout and typography.

Very striking logo, the one from 1978 onwards. That rising synth at the end is a bit creepy.

Can't remember seeing the Chinese poster before. Really love how simple it is, and how the typography frames the artwork. Makes me think of the fantastic 60's and 70's Japanese Bond posters!
Those Japanese posters are so different in style from the ones in, say, the US and the UK. I find they look quite modern even today. They're very cool.

That makes sense. The two French posters certainly looks a bit "cheap" compared to the other ones with the painted artwork, but still kinda cool.
The first French poster of Fist of Fury looks cheaper than the others, but it also hints at the future trend of more photo-like illustrations in posters.

    Love it.

I may get a print of the poster I do like the imagery, the falling man reminds me of a great Brosnan moment from the TWINE title sequence when it shows Bond falling from hot air ballon and tumbling down the Millennium Dome then falls in silhouette.

I especially like the Criterion poster, the blacked out area around the eyes looking like a blind fold and the American bullet going straight through the head to the brain. Great imagery.

Can't believe I didn't check this thread before... I'm a sucker for posters, especially AMP by the likes of Mondo, Mad Duck Posters and others.

I love that one, it was this poster that made me discover Mondo and fall in love with their works. Both Taxi Driver and especially Goldfinger cost me an arm and a leg as these were limited, sold out editions that I could only find at a Mondo dealership in Paris, but their value has since soared so I have no regrets whatsoever 😊
Besides, these are not an investment but rather works of art that I enjoy looking at every day.

Really love the Chinese and the French poster! Interesting choice to have a text masking effect of his name, using imagery from the film.

Wouldn't mind owning a few Mondo poster myself, @R1s1ngs0n! These are really great; the Taxi Driver one in particular is just incredible.

It's an extraordinarily exciting film. I can watch it a few times a day. What's more, I grew up with movies about this character. I often dreamt of plagiarizing him to be a hero myself. Something similar to me is the history of Khazad-dûm on thetolkienforum.com. I think they are similar in terms of well-written history and few fantastic elements that offer a much more colorful outline of the film and the script. Also very important to me is how the director can combine all the elements of a history so that every reader is captured by this history.

There's another variant of the same poster as well, but I prefer the red monochrome one above.

Well, I saw a catalog of the artist who painted the second french posters on sale, but the store is closed for the holidays and won't reopen till august 21st. Once it does, I'll let you know. But now, let's carry on. Everybody knows that poster, right ?

All right : his name was Jean Mascii (1926-2003), and he was (very) active from the fifties to the eighties. Amon his works, here's one for a little spy movie you might have heard about :

Thanks for the update, @Gerard! I've just browsed through some posters by Jean Mascii on moviepostersgallery.com, and it looks like he made posters for a lot of well-known titles throughout his career. Here are a few posters from the same site:

This one seems vaguely familiar, but googling the film, I don't think I've seen it before. Maybe there's another horror film that has used similar imagery. Anyway, it's a cool poster!

@Thunderfinger Devil went under the radar is a clever atmospheric horror in the vein of The Cube (a group of people trapped).
