I'm not sure if we have seen all three in the same still before? Craig, Jeffrey Wright and Billy Magnussen at the Jamaican nightclub set. Previous copy that's been around for a while had only craig and jeff

I could swear I have seen this image before, but who knows. I might be confusing and combining different stills.

Speaking of new stills, this is one I came across that I don't recall. Was it posted? I don't ever recall seeing lettering on walls behind DC.

    @TripAces

    1) I have a cropped version with only Craig and Jeffrey and it has been posted in here and social media like a year ago. So your gut feeling is correct. You have seen it before.

    2) Craig and the wall, also old still. Letters in russian means 'restricted area'

Love the pic of Bond, Felix and is it Ash? Hopefully it's similar to the scene in Quantum between the two of them, with sharp dialogue but a bit longer.
I take it this is the scene where Felix tells Bond "there's a young lady in Santiago, I want you to meet"

Yes, it's Logan Ash. And yes again re: "lady in Santiago"

The two pics I remember were of Bond and Felix at the bar, not around the table.

Go for it, I say. Universal’s contract is only for NTTD supposedly.

I'm getting Dr. No vibes from that photo, reminds me of the scene at the club between Bond, Quarrel and Leiter.

I do think Logan Ash is deliberately Jack Lord-ish.

Thought it was interesting that a friend went to the movies over the weekend and saw a NTTD trailer. Things must still be on schedule for the release.

Saw the trailer at the cinemas a month or two ago, and it just said 'coming soon'.

    Priyanga-Burford.png

Priyanga Burford will feature on the silver screen in James Bond's No Time to Die, which, after much rescheduling due to the pandemic, is now set for release in cinemas on 30 September.

"I play a government scientist and it was really cool, and really exciting to do," the star revealed. "When I went to Pinewood Studios to shoot it, it was around the time that Daniel Craig was recovering from breaking his ankle in Jamaica, so they had to turn the whole schedule around, which is like trying to turn a tanker.

"It was a really well oiled machine, because they're Bond and they can afford whatever they want and so everyone in that department is on top of their game. You walk into this production and you just feel like everyone is on it and it was really exciting and lovely to have a small part in something like that. Cary Joji Fukunaga [True Detective, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac] was a really fun and interesting director to work with."

This will be Craig's last role as 007, and speculation about which British actor will be taking over have been ramped up recently, along with conversations about whether Bond should be played by a woman.

"Controversially, I don't know about Bond as a woman because of Ian Fleming's novels, Burford admitted. "Because there is such a particular strain of masculinity in that character... He's from a particular background and place and institution that I think is patriarchal and masculine, and so I think if you're going to be true to that character you probably need a guy to do it.

"That's not to say you don't interrogate what that world is, which I think they are starting to do. So I don't know about Bond as a woman. Daniel Craig is such big shoes to fill – off all the people that are rumoured I've gone, 'yeah', but actually 'no'. I've never said yes to any of them that have been suggested..."

Gosh, good find! She's a familiar face on telly, she's good.
I wonder if she was there when they had their accident!

Seeing that picture of James, Felix and Ash really gave me Dr. No vibes, when Bond, Felix and Quarrell sit in the bar when Annabel takes pictures of them.
NTTD for me it’s starting to feel not only as the definite closure to the Craig Era, but as the closure of an entire almost 60 years run coming full circle, with all those references to the first one and to the latest fully finished Fleming’s novel. The fact that MGM is probably going to be bought by Amazon is a factor as well.

@matt_u I'd be lying if I said that thought didn't scare me mate
I think you're right it does feel like an ending in a lot of ways, this time round. I'm nervous for what that means to the series

In many ways, we are more spoiled than fans of any other series or franchise. TWENTY-FIVE movies to enjoy. And yet, the thought of James Bond not returning or the franchise ending fills me with a dread akin to losing a loved one. I don't have that feeling with any other series, even ones I love. For example, I love the Star Wars movies, even the newest trilogy, but I'd be perfectly happy with them never making another one. It looks like we'll end up with 8 Mission: Impossible movies and I'll be fine with that, too. I enjoy Fast and Furious (don't judge me!) and Marvel, but I'm good with never seeing more of those. What is it about Bond that we just can't stomach the thought of the series ever ending?

Bond will always be around, just look at how many Sherlock Holmes films there are. Some awful, some great but Sherlock lives on. So will Bond.

There is no copyright on Sherlock Holmes. Everybody can produce a Holmes-film.

I think that will soon be the case with Bond? It already is in some countries.

I would be surprised if Danjaq's trademark on James Bond wasn't global.

It is global. Or at least must be. Try these:

Semi-new still. Previous copy had a frame, found at Omega store exhibition, Zürich. On the other hand, the Zurich photo also had some cool prop grenades

And eventually that will be the case with Bond. Until that happens, there will always be someone interested in spending big bucks to license Bond if Eon is no longer interested in producing Bond adventures, just like they did with Holmes. Bond will always be with us.

I'm not sure it will, not if the trademark is maintained.

I think the copyright will be on the books. So like dickens is public free to all Fleming will eventually be so.

Quite how that effects making the films I don’t know. Film rights may be different. Mickey mouses initial incarnation might be public domain in a few years. Well have to see what her things change. Otherwise Batman superman etc etc will all follow in the next 20-30 years
