@Gustav_Graves actually asked to have his account here banned back in November 2017 as he didn't want to keep coming back here as a member constantly. He wanted to concentrate on his Bond writings and not be distracted by posting here all the time. He left open the option of returning to the account at a later date so it wasn't your regular banning by any stretch of the imagination and therefore not a good example to illustrate your point with.
Gustav_Graves left this forum twice. Once because he wanted to leave and once because he got banned.
Yes, the first time he left of his own accord and specifically asked to be banned to stop him coming back and being distracted by the Bond forums. In August 2019 he then returned under the new username @GertGettler without going through the agreed procedure of asking to return to his veteran @Gustav_Graves account. He posted here for two months before he was banned in October 2019.
Excellent news, thank you.
For the record we have banned 3 people in the last 5 years. One of the reasons we ban people is for provocative behaviour designed to inflame unrest. Also, we ban people for opening multiple accounts which are clearly designed to take pot shots at the mods.....
Oh, hello @Mods_R_thin_skinned , congratulations on ticking so many boxes.
A big point to bear in mind is this fragmentation now - everyone is not only in a different pace with vaccinations as well as mandating other measures like the 'COVID passes' - but also just the outright outlook on Delta. Remember that all of our cases in the UK are Delta and as Colonel said, we are nearly through this wave despite all restrictions being lifted (and the vaccines are effective against Delta, as long as everyone gets both doses). The wildly more (but can't argue against the positives of that) panicked outlook of the US on the variant is interesting to watch.
But half of my fellow citizens are still not vaccinated for various reasons (access, stupidity), so who knows?
Yeah that’s what I thought too, but when I listened to it, it sounded pretty real.
ahhhh there we go! thank you. I had wondered...
US release isn't in question at all as there is no political will to shut anything down. The people who are unvaccinated would have no fear about movie theaters.
If it releases in Europe on time, it'll definitely release here.
Incorrect. If the wave gets bad enough, they will have to shut theaters down again.
Also, note that NYC will require vaccinations for movie theaters. That's a big market for Bond.

They *should* shut theaters down. There's lots of things public officials *should* do. I'm saying, however, there is not the political will or appetite to do it.
Like, look at California. Newsom is fighting for his life. He's not going to shutdown movie theaters and embolden the recall people. It'd be the equivalent of him biting his cyanide capsule!
If you have a mail I can share with you the video
@MattiaDeVarti007 Thanks for the help :-)
Both CR and QoS did $600m, but accounting for inflation (2006) thats $800m, so you could be right.
I think that NTTD unfortunately will struggle to cross the $500 million mark.
I can't believe it's been 15 years. I remember the build-up to CR so vividly. I won't say it feels like yesterday, but it sure doesn't feel like a decade and a half!
Very reassuring. Thank you so much.
Cannot wait until the first time I see one on American TV — it'll all be real!
