Waller Bridge said that Bond's character hadn't changed...
Both are telling the usual Marketing bs.

Just a random thought. When SP was in production I'm willing to bet everyone of us guessed or at the very least strongly suspected Waltz was Blofeld.
Film was called Spectre + BIG name actor = not hard to figure out despite Sam Mendes doing his level best to deny it (obviously)
So my random thought. BIG name actor this time is Rami Malek. He MUST be the big bad. In fact we were told he was at that 'ahem' quality broadcast from Goldeneye. I think it's a bluff and Waltz is the main villain again. Rami Malek is a decoy with a pivotal role in the story.
After all wasn't Waltz's involvement only revealed because he was spotted and said to the witness to keep quite. If Malek is a Bond fan and a small ego he'd probably go along with this. (I hope I'm wrong by the way, but I have my doubts)

It's not unheard of for Bond films to have a few villains.

Baz Bamigboye even revealed that Waltz would play Blofeld a few days before the SPECTRE press release.
It's funny because I think along the opposite way you do. In my opinion Waltz's role will be relegated to a cameo of him being behind bars and appearing for a single scene, BUT I hope you are right and he is actually the main villain of the movie.

God bless Naomi, but maybe she was trying a bit too hard with the press to sell them the idea of 'this is totally new', which is just a new spin on 'my Bond girl is totally different from the previous ones'.
Bond had equal relationships with women since the dawn of time (he's not oppressing anybody lol). And he did make emotional connections, mainly in OHMSS and CR, which was the whole point of these movies from a character standpoint. At best we'll get something similar again, but maybe this time the woman will not get killed, or try to kill him/herself, in which case this would be kinda 'new'.

As i said before, let him get married at the end, i'm ok with that. As this is a final film there should be some finality to it, just not death.
All this can be achived without watering down Bond's casual chauvinism and general badassery, so nobody needs to get their panties in a bunch.

As I have said before: Bond's relationship with women, from Dr. No to SP, has been mischaracterized. Rarely has Bond mistreated a woman who was NOT an operative.

    Thank you TripAces.

I wouldn´t be surprised in the slightest.
And I would welcome if Blofeld was done Right this time and had a lot of screentime. Or if he is done Right this time and has littler screen time but a fundamental part in the Overall scheme, Setting Blofeld up as future Nemesis of Bond. I doubt that SPECTRE as the Name of an Organisation will feature much in the near future, because it seems to be fashionable to make it personal.

Silva was in what seemed a high security facility at MI6. Blofeld planned all that pain of James. Manipulating MI6 to incarcerate him so he can pursue his Evil plans is one of Blofeld´s easiest warm-up exercises ;-).

Perhaps they are waiting to have footage of Malek that is of use.

I’d love a first trailer soon, but I’d much rather get a title. I’m getting tired of calling it Bond 25.

Here’s a theory: B25 will retcon Brofeld out of existence. Malek will play Blofeld and Oberhauser will be revealed to have merely been a decoy working for the real criminal mastermind, Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

Please I hope not. Iron Man 3 was ruined because of that. History doesn't need to repeat itself.

You really think so? Production is still moving along just fine. How would not having a title spell trouble?

Still, there's no talk about a trailer, no talk about a title. And that's alright. They'll divulge them when they're good and ready. As long as they're good enough to blow our minds away from this gobshite of fake news and bad omens by depressive soothsayers. As long as they shut some mouths up - they know who they are -, I'll be happy.

Well if nothing happens in the next 10 days or so? I am ok with that as I will be away from Saturday for a bit of a break with the family. But don't go looking for my secret facility as I have security! B-) She is the mother in law and to give you an idea of how no nonsense she is? Just think of the sweet dear old lady on the gate house of Goldfingers swiss operations!!!!!!! Enough said!!!! :-t :))

I’ll take anything to remove Brofeld from Bond cannon. I hate it that much.
