    Isn't the young girl like 15? She'd had to be cloned even before Casino Royale took place to be that old, unless she was cloned on Kamino

    We know the girl at the ice-lake is aged around 10-12, which means --
    Swann's DNA was copied years before she met Bond, perhaps even when she was very young - the daughter of Mr. White, a Spectre operative. Malek could be taking over and exploiting an old and abandoned Spectre DNA cloning experiment started by Blofeld.

    Speaking about coincidences in life. :D

    BTW @ColonelSun this idea would fit also with the rumor that is indeed Madeleine that goes to visit Blofeld in jail, in order to ask information about Malek.

    :)) @ColonelSun, are you my separated at birth twin?

    Or I'm your clone, perhaps ;)

    I can't think of clones without thinking of Austin Powers. Same as SP did…and SF…

    Austin Powers, DAD, Minions, the whole program :-)!

    The Property of a Lady can only work if it encompasses the whole film rather than just one character.

    Clones sounds silly as hell.

    Blofeld:If I help you it will be 'turns' with us too. Quid pro quo. I tell you things,
    you tell me things.

    Swann: Go!

    Blofeld:What is your worst memory of childhood?

    Swann:A man once came to our house to kill my father. He didn't know I was upstairs
    playing in my bedroom.

    Blofeld: You are very frank, miss Swann

    Swann: Quid pro quo, If your intel helps us catch him, you will be transferred to somewhere else.

    Blofeld: What I want is a view. I want a window where I can see a tree, or even water.

    Nice. :)

    Yes. They really need a strong script to make such a concept work. Really. Especially since the Craig era has been very grounded so far, speaking about villainous masterplans. Dealing with clones of Bond's love interest is risky stuff as a concept, quite cheesy on paper. :(

    BTW, for those who hope TPoaL being the title, prepare yourself... it won't be. And Woman Genoma or whatever is probably the worse title suggestion for a Bond movie I ever heard in the last 4 years.

    I can understand why, to some, the idea of cloning being a story element in a Bond film is silly ; at first glance it sounds like science fiction and too outlandish for Bond's world. Cutting edge technology has been a part of the series since Dr No, but we live in a world where technology is advancing at such a rapid rate that daily, leaps forward are made that could not have been conceived of less than a decade earlier.

    This will be a growing challenge as the franchise moves into future, if it continues to be set in a contemporary setting and not a period piece. Cloning is very real with many prominent scientist believing that human cloning is within out reach.

    Yes, handled poorly it could come off as silly; handled well it could very intriguing....and possibly horrifying.

    From my understanding, the technology is already there. Scientists can do it. Remember Dolly, the sheep. What is holding science back is the ethics of it.

    The 1978 film The Boys from Brazil delved into cloning already and did indeed show the horrifying possibilities.

    The intro to this is rather silly, but this is a good primer on human cloning. Note the part at 2:10.

    That's the cartoon version, I believe Bond 25 is rooted in real science, not fantasy.

    I think the cloning thing can be done very well with good execution. It’s maybe just a little sci-fi, but really not as far of a stretch as some make it out to be. I think done well it can fit well with Bond and provide a lot of intrigue.

    Of course, but for those two films, I couldn't help but think of Austin Powers. Anything involving clones will too.

    Craig has approved of the script and story. He wouldn't be doing it if its as bad or silly as we're speculating.

    Not if the science is real and 21st century. This is real science. This won't be the fantasy (cartoon) version of cloning, I am certain of that; this will be based in the reality and, therefore, it will be far more scary.

    The point I was trying to make (even though it wasn't much of a point at all), is that the concept alone of using clones in one way or the other will make me think of Austin Powers. How it's presented in the film is insignificant.

    Anyway, this cloning thing isn't confirmed yet.

    I can imagine that the film is named after Rami Malek's 'dangerous new technology' much like the GoldenEye device being the title for that film.

    There's a chance that 'Eclipse' was once the name of the piece of technology and it's now named 'Genoma'.

    Personally, I think it's a little bit of a dodgy translation. @marketto007 himself has explained that he had to translate his source's words and I think the title may have got lost in that translation.

    I do think that Eon will want a one-word title as Christopher Nolan and Denis Villenueve always have a preference for them and they like to keep up.

    Also, according to source speaking to @marketto007 we might get the title at a press conference opposed to a trailer...

    ...I still think we will get it with a trailer, which is probably now coming mid/late August and be attached to 'It Chapter Two'.

    Also.......Sting is talking about at 14:00 by Cary:

    Personally I'm not a fan of these genetic warfare rumors and the subsequent title which plays into that idea. I don't see how I'd be meant to take the film seriously. There are simply too many inane connotations associated with it in pop culture and films never get the science right because they want to tell an interesting story at the end of the day. It'll be interesting to see how much Waller-Bridge and Burns were able to salvage, if true.

    Genome... genoma... always the same crap. Are we talking about the 25th title of a James Bond movie - the franchise with arguably the best movie titles in movie history - or the title of a random episode for a silly Netflix sci-fi TV series?

    I don't know,
    cloning seems a little out of left field for the Craig films. And how lomg is this movie going to be exactyly? It seems like every few weeks we learn about a new part of the story which can only add to the length of the overall film. First Blofeld is back, then female 007 and now possible human cloning plot? It seems like alot to balance in one film, without being 3 hours.

    Exclusive BOND 25 news direct from Italy. It’s all from a source, who proves himself to be an insider. So trust at your own will.
    - Italian Locations for now are: Matera, Craco, Riva dei Ginepri and Maratea, in the Basillicata region;
    - They recently tested the Aston Martin Valhalla in Via Madonna dell'Idris, in Matera;
    - A large cemetery is being built in Murgia;
    - The production are testing some filming in Gravina;
    - The current casting are just for children, “because the history start with many children”;
    - Part of the crew are already in Matera;
    - The production is facing some Story and Locations problems;
    - Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz are rooting for Ed Sheeran for title theme, but producers are still thinking about;
    - STING is also being considered for title-theme;
    - Phoebe Waller-Bridge has a great story for the humanity;
    - Story starts in Matera with a “liaison” (french term) among many children and the - DNA of a Genoma woman;
    - In the beginning of the movie, a lot of children are in danger because of the villain;
    - The story talks about a Genoma of a woman based on the DNA of Madeleine Swann;
    - Titles being considered: WOMAN GENOMA or GENOMA OF A WOMAN. It’s all in elaboration. Waiting for BB/MGW final approval;
    - Phoebe Waller-Bridge is always in talks with Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz;
    - Every decision is taken by Daniel Craig;
    - During a meeting, the probably title “Genoma of a Woman”, that Daniel likes very much, has been dropped off by producers.
    - THE CAR CHASE WITH THE VALHALLA - Part I: Sets are being constructed under Palazzo Lanfranchi for the car chase. At great speed, the chase starts in Piazza San Francesco and goes along Via Bruno Buozzi and Via Casalnuovo. All the activities have already been locked and warned for their probable closure from August 19 onwards;
    - THE CAR CHASE WITH THE VALHALLA - Part II: Some cars will fly through the stone roofs. Among the cars there are also new Range Rovers. For some scenes, they will use the abandoned railway station in the municipality of Gravina;
    - A huge old pasta factory is also being considered for filming;
    - The filming is locked to start on August 25th to October 15th;
    - Daniel Craig will start filming in Italy in September.

    Its not surprising that there is a focus on children in danger in this film. Fukunaga likes to explore trauma with children and use this as a way of increasing the stakes and meaning in his films. I am looking forward to it. Also as MI6 insiders have pointed out it is believed the car chase will involve the DB5 (modified with carbon fibre chassis and BMW engine) and not the Valhalla.

    SWANN - "A once man came to our house to kill my father, he didn't know I was upstairs playing in my bedroom. And that papa kept a Beretta 9mm under the sink with the bleach. That's why I hate guns."

    If Swann is involved in the cloning, could she have been wrong/lied about the man who came to their house? Could he have been their to take her?

    Also, where is Mrs. White in all this? How long ago did she leave and why? Where is she now?

    @Mendes4Lyfe I couldn't agree more with what you wrote on page 203. Comment of the month! And to borrow from the teaser trailer from Tenet:

    Time has come for a new Bond. Time has come for a new kind of mission.

    Interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing, @marketto007.

    I trust your source is legit on those production details, but can't say that I buy GENOME as the title. It's an interesting word, but too much in the same generic vein as ECLIPSE would have been, and we know now that was likely bunk as well.

    And if Universal did indeed veto "A Reason to Die" at the last minute for not being "Bond" enough, as we've been told, I can't imagine them considering any of these alternates to be any better.
