All of Craig’s films have looked great ; but after the somewhat muted palettes of the last two, a return of some vibrant color is welcome.
    +1

I often return to CR and QOS just for their colourful palette.
    + 2

    +3

+4 QoS has to be one of the most beautiful looking Bond movies.

+5, it's a lovely-lensed film. Shame it's cut to within an inch of its death.

I am not shocked. I have been saying it all along. LOL

A couple of points about the Matera filming...

    1. I am not sure if this has been revealed: the motorcycle ride/stuntman appears to be Robbie Maddison. He did the motorcycle work in SF.
    2. Any ideas on the burning furniture and belongings, placed all along the the car chase route? I have attempted to research this but can't find anything about this being a specific, common ritual. But it is likely a form of the Easter burning ritual. That led me to this photo essay...

    RITUALS AND TRADITIONS

I won't say much. Just look at these pictures and be shocked at how much of this religious symbolism has turned up in Bond recently, and note the WHITE MASKS in picture #13! Do those look familiar???

Furthermore, since SP dealt with the "dead" on Dia de los Muertos, it makes sense that we now have the "resurrection" on easter. Remember, resurrection was Bond's hobby. It is all sort of coming together.

    Hmmm...

High-res new photos from the set in Matera courtesy of the Daily Mail. It looks like the whole sequence will be in IMAX:

Heh! There's something quite pleasing about 'Aston Martin Dee Bee Fünf' :)

Not sure what the Germans make of the title though: 'No Time To The'?!

Have we deduced why they'd have a press conference in Matera yet? Still makes no sense.

Just spoke to some military experts regarding the phantom of the opera loooking man attacking a young Swann.

He says he thinks it’s the Italian Alpine/alpini?

Most of the henchman look Italian and Malek definitely could pull off the Italian look.

This footage from matera films me with optimism. And seeing the stunt team hit their marks time and again ragging those cars around. Bravo!

It makes huge amounts of sense. They are usually used as part of the negotiations with local councils to secure filming permits, mainly as Matera officials want people to know NTTD is filming there. A Bond film picking your location encourages tourism as the Bond brand is about exclusivity, glamour and escapism. All thing a local council want to project in their city.

Plus, Eon want people to know they they are making NTTD and that it will have the 'Bond ingredients' - namely, action and beautiful locations. So Eon invite members of the worlds' press (the great @marketto007 from JamesBondBr was invited to SP's set in Mexico) to see the filming. It's the usual type of organisations, including the BBC, ITV, ET and film blogs such as Collider.

Some films embargo the set visits till closer to the release - but Eon play very loose with the embargoes and just let bloggers tweet away.

I think it’ll be „No Time To Die“ in Germany, too. „Null Null Sieben“ is the German term for 007 btw...

Yep, his Mediterranean heritage certainly gives weight to this speculation. It'd be nice to have an Italian/Greek villain again.

Right, it's just that a set visit and a press conference aren't necessarily the same things and everyone was using the latter to label this event.

Sure, they might let some minor information leak early, but the actual interviews won't be publicized for a long time yet. (Wasn't the SPECTRE set visit in March and the pieces surfaced in October?)

Some more digging I found that Easter Fires are pretty common. Expect the charred remains in the streets to be remnants of these Easter Fires. Note that Matera is pretty awesome at Easter.

    Article here: https://www.guida-matera.it/en/whats-on-matera-1-faith-and-passion-easter-at-matera/

I expect those lit caves (and city fires) to figure prominently in the scenes proceeeding the car chase the following day.

His last post is from work that I think he did almost a month ago...in Greece. The video was just released a few days ago. So it still could be. It certainly looks like him (the nose, for sure), though a little on the heavy side:

In the SF shoot, he has some make up and facial prosthetics on (which may be the case above too, if it is him):

That could certainly be possible as the have built what appears to be a single story rotunda design with a flat roof (the previous set was more like a linear street design)
I will be visiting continually as their are crews constantly building and dismantling but the few people I spoke to said NTTD is the only production there across so many stages at present. Black widow is done.

I can’t believe Bond literally has to find WALDO.

Dr. Waldo gets kidnapped and now has to be found.

personally I think he looks in wicked shape. Great muscle tone. Holds himself like a right bad ass.

Some peeps want to continue the hate for Craig(notBond) all these years later.

I was being sarcastic to the original post.
