And we learned that scene 54 is also the car chase
The Rome car chase in SP is 11 scenes, scene 47-58.
If u are after specific POV shots, and you have the driver who has rehearsed the stunt driving for the scene many times already, its just the most practical way to go. It's not complicated.

There’s a difference..
There you are: that's a more believable reason! :) You didn't need to over-complicate it with all that stuff about height and distance(?) after all!
I am just saying, the director and the crew will always find the most sensible reason to do something, and it might be for all sorts of reasons we don't know about yet. But they are very smart, very experienced, and they (mostly) get it dead right.

This is interesting. They'd probably squeeze the DB5 down that.
However, there are multiple options for this. The motorbikes could be taking a short cut in an attempt to cut Bond off at some point; or, part of the chase (either before or after) could be on foot. Who knows.
Exciting nonetheless!

I know that; I wasn't questioning them, just wondering what their reasons were.
I think Bond comes to Matera as he needs intel on Spectre. His only source would be Madeleine as she is the daughter of a former high-ranking member.
Therefore, as per the official credits suggestion, Lea Seydoux is the female lead. She’s introduced around the same time she is in SP.
It's possible that the villains could be using Madeleine as bait to lure Bond, too. Especially if they had previously split but it was on Madeleine's terms. Bond goes to save her knowing it's a trap, and the pair make their escape.
Something like that.
"How do you distinguish the echo of shots in sequence from the roar of fireworks or battery fires, so familiar to the people of Matera and not just for patron saints? We need an ear, to put it in a famous song by Enzo Jannacci, and to remember that for the last ten days Matera and the Sassi in particular have become the set for the 25th film of the 007 series "No time no die" and that is "Non c" it's time to die ”.
So, with the Lotus production programming calendar in hand, it is easy to hear cars and motorcycles chasing each other in the Sassi districts as far as Via Fiorentini and with a hail of gunshots (automatic guns, rifles, rifles of various caliber) that echo back to the Plan along the route that from via San Biagio, Piazza Vittorio Veneto, via delle Beccherie leads to piazza Duomo.
No dead or injured (except in the scenographic fiction) and so much chasing after why and how to shoot, confused with those for fireworks. After all, with the moonlight we know, the Association "Maria Santissima della Bruna" has activated a call for tenders to find suitable private land, close to the city, for the Feast of Sant 'Eustachio which will take place on September 20th.
As for the film, we expect the next sequences and the arrival of the production on a slope of Piazza Duomo, where a jump set, a wooden ramp (the construction of which is entrusted to companies and local technicians) to shoot a spectacular scene with motorcycles. For the stunts a thousand adrenaline… from Piazza Duomo to the carriage road of the Sassi districts, to escape a chase or to ambush James Bond. That Daniel Craig expected for the next few days and who would like to cruise the Mediterranean. Mah. Everything is possible. But in a yacht or in a submarine? All for the benefit of gossip.
Offshore fishermen invited to pull nets and send messages to shore ... In Matera, meanwhile, tourists and onlookers ready to capture shots on the various sets. On the Lotus production website www.infolotusmatera.com there seems to be a weekend break. And besides, internal needs aside, there is a weather alarm.
Scene under the storm? They could serve. We remember "The Passion" with the Golgotha scene that did not need special effects. The sky grew dark and there were also thunder and lightning. A stroke of luck. Per Bond 25 resumes on Monday 2 September ..."

I mentioned that possibility several pages back. The set in Matera is not a hotel room. It's possibly an apartment.
It's quiote possible that Bond recveived a tip that SPECTRE had located her and he rushes there to get her out of danger. Pure speculation, here, of course.
I love that EON has been so secretive...we have no bloody clue what is going on.
I'm still not convinced Matera is not the PTS. I know, the numbers and all that, but the Matera scenes scream PTS, THR called it the PTS when first reporting on it, MI6-HQ does the same regarding the DB5 chase...
The little girl might be part of the PTS, but they'll end the PTS with a big stunt, as always. Which, if we say it's the girl, must be her falling in the lake or some baddie falling in the lake or maybe, just maybe a car falling in the lake. Not very spectacular.
Secondly, I really, really doubt they'll go with a Bond-less PTS in this day and age. Films got more 'in your face' the last couple of years. I doubt MGM and Universal think it's (marketing-wise) a good move to open your 25th Bond film without Bond.
Completely agree. But some footage (without plot info.) would be more than welcome!
