"The production is setting up the open-air set for the shooting scheduled for Monday 2nd September between Fiorentini and via Lombardi, where a votive shrine has already been built, as can be seen from the photo gallery below."

Damn, you beat me to it. Although it's impossible to crash a car into the shrine. Why? Check my detailed post :P
This further support my theory that the chase occurs on the day of or the day after Easter. Matera is known for its lighting of candles in the caves on Easter (I think the eve before):
This is a terrific backdrop, much like the pyramids at night in TSWLM.
The charred remains we are seeing in the streets during the car chases would appear to be from Easter Fires. However, they do not appear to be the types of Easter Fires they tend to light in Italy.
Having a Bond scene on Easter lines up rather neatly with Dia de Los Muertos and Bond's statement in SF that resurrection is his hobby.
And since it's comig out in April, we will finally have an easter themed Bond film.

A duet with Sheeran would just be weird.
Sheeran can write the tune, i don't care, maybe he could suprise us in that department, and i'm sure Eon would love to have his name for the promo. Just keep him away from the mic, no suprises left there. I don't want another messed up AWTD (A Song i would enjoy a lot more if it weren't for Jack Whites Ego)

The tabloids keep spinning their Video shoot narrative, first it was Dua Lipa now it's Sheeran for the 10000th time.
And by the way, Bocelli has a Song with Dua Lipa too (which isn't half Bad and would work much better as a pairing) why not throw that story out there? Because that would be less offensive, and wouldn't make as many peoples heads explode. So f the tabloids.
