Just went through all the driving pics.
Bond and Swann drive through the tunnel in the same outfit they kiss in.
I truly love to see how much fun Daniel Craig has on set. He seems so…….ff-ing happy to do this. Also good to see he gets along so well with Léa Seydoux. But, ehm, I could be wrong, but if Rachel Weisz see these pictures she most definitely would ask Daniel Craig if this was to practice for some scenes, or if there's more to it :-?. Because really? This looks like more than just….having professional fun with acting colleagues...
BS.. It's called acting and they are very good friends of camera, Lea & Daniel.

And sorry for hijacking the filming thread. But these clothes just aren't cutting it, IMO. No matter how one spins it. They're not stylish, that's not good taste, and Craig's Bond used to have his own style. The shawl collared cardigans, for example, were something exclusive to his Bond. So were the desert boots. Even that London suit isn't something other-worldly, is it? Even Lazenby wore the Prince of Wales patterned suit better. Sorry, but three button corduroy suits with both top buttons closed, just isn't something one with sense of style wears. This is my first and only critique for NTTD, so far. All the rest looks magnificent.
You don't wear those in spring/summer in Italy.
I actually like this blue jacket and outfit. Very casual. I wonder if that jacket is part of the Billy Reid apparel that Dave Zaritzky learned about here:
And you wear corduroy suits in spring/summer in Italy? No matter how thin they are. Why not a linen suit with that blue shirt and suspenders? And a burgundy tie? Really? And don't get me going about those awful shoes.
In every other take, Craig has to take his jacket off probably because it's freakin hot. A shawl collared thin cardigan would suit him better, or none at all, just the blue shirt with the suspenders. And desert boots.
I agree @manover. I am done trying to draw conclusions from any of this. LOL
It's not corduroy in the typical sense, according to What's Daniel Wearing. It is more like a light linen, a spring/summer blend. Besides, it is the color that is important. The type of shoes, to me, are not an issue; he wore the dark suede desert boots in even hotter climates: Haiti, in the Peruvian desert, in Morocco. Yet these particular boots, with the top stitching (like 60s style wallabees) are not good.
I do think the typical polo with khaki slacks is more fitting. But I can't make heads or tails of this filming. I am just going on faith that it all will make sense when we see it.

I wonder are they making a conscious choice to emphasise Bond's age through his more muted and loose clothing style? I'm sure they'll touch on it at some point again, similar to SF - especially if the film is, as Fukanaga said, coming full circle from CR.

Can I propose something? Seeing all this behind-the-scenes-footage from amateurs for what they are? Amateurish takes on filming behind the scenes? Let's reserve judgement for after April 3rd. Otherwise we leave the cinema as depressed as after SP.
I, for one, went to see SP loving everything I'd seen, clothes included. And left the theatre, as you say, depressed.
So I'm criticising some clothing choices, so what? That will not influence my take on the film. They even may look good on screen. But I can talk about our man Bond's characterisation. Can't I? What are forums for?
And I'm not talking about ironed clothes, @GertGettler. I'm talking types of clothes. Something Fleming was very adamant when describing his character tastes. And Craig has made wonderful choices across his films, and has made a style of his own.
So far, NTTD clothes aren't its best feature, I'd say. But that doesn't doom it as a bad film in any way. SP had wonderful clothing choices. So did QOS. And we know what happened with one and the other. NTTD will look splendorous, I'm sure. But maybe Bond won't.
However, can we find any more info about it, like prepping scenes, local council bans traffic, etc, anything useful??

That suit and shirt is miles better than the suspenders and cardigan Craig is wearing here!
I can confirm the scene shot this evening with Bond and Swann arriving in Matera at their hotel is:

They filmed two different camera angles. Bond went round to open the door for her. They locked arms/held hands and in the later shots, in the background a group of extras walked past holding the candle type lights associated with the July 2nd religious festival in Matera.
