What a confusing sequence of scenes. I’ve been under the impression this whole time that Bond’s journey “starts in Jamaica” according to Barbara.

No, with respect, it has been explained here, several times now, that BB just gave us a broad view of where the film begins, (as is normal) and she was not saying Jamaica was the actual opening of the film. Can we just put this to rest now? How many times does the same basic stuff have to be repeated?

I don’t always see every comment that’s posted. I didn’t realize this has been thoroughly discussed.

New schedule posted on Lotus, full week - right column

    http://www.infolotusmatera.com/

Main unit will probably shoot close-ups with Daniel/Lea in AM/stuntdriver all week going by the schedule :

Monday-Wednesday: same streets around Matera where Second Unit shot all the stunt car chasing.
Thursday-Friday: San Giovanni Battista, the square with the shooting, ramming AM (remember the video with AM spinning around, being shot at)

    Fake hotel room set
Location: Belvedere di Piazza Giovanni Pascoli - pay attention if you see that name in any upcoming article, social media, etc, since there might be a potential blow-up scene.

Now it is better visible. The Aston Martin DB5 on the left is one of the kitcar with BMW chassis and engines. The one on the right is the real DB5. Just look at the chrome ventilator in the nose.

    Forget the outfits..

    Why Italy??

    1) CR- Italy

    2) QOS- Italy

    3) SP - Italy

Personally I’d prefer it if they went to Greece. Like Santorini. Or maybe Switzerland? Just somewhere different.

I’m not really understanding the outfits. I’m a HUGE fan of QOS and SP, the two most hated Bond films. The outfit choices for both of those films were perfect.

I think the main issue is that Lea is always wearing a white gown/dress.

Craig gets super weird outfit choices. Remove the tan jacket, give him a white dress shirt, keep the suspenders, give him black pants, sleeves rolled up.

He looks more Bondian when he’s just out casually. Definitely should’ve gotten one of the designers from CR or SF/SP.

Typically I don’t like to be completely spoiled but I will admit it’s also pretty obvious that Italy with Swann isn’t just one sequence.

I’m so glad Nomi isn’t THE final girl.

Wished Caterina Murino a happy birthday and she responded, + new set photos of Dan and Lea?? Great day!

The matera sequence is going to be bond in his prime and might be as brutal and visceral as the Madagascar chase, their doing imax for that reason. I think Jamaica is where we see him tired and alone. Craig looks rougher and less trim in the Jamaica shoot. He looks great and fresh here in matera before he gets bloodied up. The scenes with Swann today remind me of bond and vesper when they get off the elevator at the end of CR in venice

Eva Green must be proper flattered that her character still has such a big impact on the story.

Meanwhile the one Bond girl that lived (Camille) has been totally forgotten.

There was a rumor the teaser trailer would drop today, but nothing more than a rumor.

I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. They submitted a demo tape for the theme song but obviously it won’t be used..

Whatever happened to the “press conference” in Italy?

Does everyone agree that it was really just them taking publicity shots of Cary, Craig and Lea?

I was hoping there would be a press conference with a teaser trailer drop.

To the surprise of no one, the song rumours were nothing more than a load of bollocks.

Because is one of the most cinematic countries in the world and offers great filming incentives? Plus, Matera is no Rome just like Rome is no Siena just like Siena is no Venice.

Good to have the song to listen to, doesn't strike me as good enough for a title theme.

Didn't they propose they had it together a year ago. Surely they didn't know the title then. Could have adjusted the lyrics with the title reveal though.

The first 20 seconds sound amazing. Was surprised by that. Would be a great instrumental for sure.

Yeah they just added “No Time To Die”, to the song and shot a music video.

Honestly not any different than “Forever”, a demo track for QOS.

I know with “Forever”, they apparently have two mainstream artists and then a couple indie artists submit demos.

Obviously with bond 95% of the time they are rolling with the A list singers.

I do wish EON would choose the right artist versus a big name like Dua Lipa.

The blow up is pretty much a given. By the end of the week I think shooting in Matera will wrap. Then the main unit will film for a couple of days in the Tirrenian coastline / Arcomagno with Craig September 23/34. Then back to Pinewood to shoot what remain to be shot.

Notably the Ana De Armas scenes that were pushed back because of Daniel Craig's accident.

It's not even bad, but it definitely has an "indie" sound and that's one of the many reasons I was 100% sure it was not going to be an official song.

Main unit in Sapri 23-24, maybe even 25 sept: Port, train station, midnight beach/lagoon. Lotus posted it on their sistersite this week, as pdf

Well said. Bond and Italy go hand in hand. I've been to over 50 countries and Matera is one of the most unique, historical and picturesque places I've been to. It's going to look breathtaking on screen. And it'll really compliment the ice of Norway and the lush, green exotic flavours of Jamaica.

Well said, both of you. Italy is my favourite country, so I won't complain.

I like how, with the driver on top, the car looks like the old Corgi toy of the DB5 with the ejector seat hatch open :)

Swann is wearing the same red dress as the driving scenes, but somewhere along the way Bond changes at least his shirt / jacket.
She wears a white dress in those scenes.

Also, the costume design has been pretty disappointing. The above picture with the QoS cardigan says it all.

I wonder are they making a conscious choice to emphasise Bond's age through his more muted and loose clothing style? I'm sure they'll touch on it at some point again, similar to SF - especially if the film is, as Fukanaga said, coming full circle from CR.
I'm a fan of everything we've seen Bond wear up until Matera (especially that Jamaica outfit with Felix). The stuff he sports in Matera is pretty uncharacteristic when you look at his other costume choices from previous films.

I quite like the suspenders, to be honest. The blue jacket does little for me personally and it sure does feel a tad uncharacteristic, but I do get the feeling the costumes are being chosen for an even more specific reason than usual. (i.e. not just because they look good!)

    I am intrigued by it.

I'm happy with everything I'm seeing and I'm still super excited!

I must say this clapperboard is really not worth debating over.

We'll know once we see the film, and whatever the order of the film is, I think it's gonna be great.

Also, I really don't see the problem with Craig's suit. I could see any of the other James Bond actors in that outfit.
