Sorry false alarm.......awkward. I had a journalist friend who got their wires crossed.

Turns out they are running the same photos as before. Nothing to see here.

Theory- Mallory dies/is a traitor in NTTD. Bond promoted to head of secret service and is now the new boss of lady 007.

Came to this idea because, M in SP wears braces with a blue shirt like JB in NTTD, which is basically confirmation....

Wow can’t wait for this trailer.

I would bet everything that I own that nothing remotely like this will happen.

This is more likely and better than any scenario put forth thus far and would be a nice ending for Craig.

Seeing as his death would be highly unlikely in my opinion, it would mean by your own words that M saves Judi Dench's M, helps Bond take out Silva's men, keeps their rogue mission a secret from the PM, helps stop the leader of SPECTRE, while also causing the death of a SPECTRE agent who was a traitor within the British intelligence service, to only be a traitor. This is the kinda writing we wanna leave in Spectre.

He says Mallory dies in NTTD or is a traitor.

I’m going with m dies and bond becomes head of the 00 branch.

I have a feeling the dynamic bond and M had in her apartment in CR is going to happen again, instead bond teaches nomi the ropes as well as the “big picture” perhaps it was too early to promote nomi the same as bond.

This is how as Cary says will bring bonds arc full circle.

It's a pretty random stab in the dark, but you never know I guess.

Although I do think killing him off would just be retreading and we already lost one M in this era, and do we really want Craig's Bond running MI6. A man who will probably try and sleep with a portion of the staff and take a lot of time off haha :D

Unless it’s super emotional and well played I’ll be pissed if Craig dies and nomi is 007 at the end.

From what we've heard about the Danny Boyle situation, I don't think Craig will be dying either. The only people I think are at risk that could also live are Seydoux and de Armas. The villains are pretty guaranteed I think, unless we get another Jaws situation.

The only bond villian Craig has killed is Silva

This Mallory theory would make sense. Bond being promoted to head of special branch would tie in well with the royal parade filming we saw earlier this year

I’m starting to think we’re on to something. How else could it end. They wont kill him, nomi as 007 at the end would be too divisive.

I doubt he’ll retire like at the end of SP again

If Bond ends up being the new M , sending off the new, black female 007 on a mission, I will not see the film.

I've hoped for the same thing since Goldeneye and I've always been disappointed. I won't be getting my hopes up but here's hoping... :)

It was a conscious choice by DC to have his Bond be less ‘talkative.’

In fact, in an interview with Sam Mendes – I think on Charlie Rose (but someone can verify) – they mention that they deliberately went through the script and cut out dialogue when on set.

They wanted his Bond to be colder, more calculated and menacing. A lot of Craig’s performance boils down to the introspective and more quiet moments. That’s what I love about his Bond.

It isn’t about reams of dialogue. A performance is not dictated by how much dialogue you have…………..Craig has given Bond a complex internal life, and he’s done it without dialogue.

I don't want Bond emoting about his 'soul' again. Daniel Craig is a terrific actor and - like all great screen actors - can do a lot with a glance. Lesser actors need copious dialogue to convey character and emotion.

I understand that and you are right but I'm not referring to Craig pouring his heart out and giving a complex account of his background. I just mean some decent, natural, realistic dialogue between Bond and his love interest and one or two allies. Character building can come out of general conversations and don't have to be about love, hate and betrayal etc. I love the dialogue exchange in the books between Leiter and Bond about the merits of British and American cars, food and drink etc. The rare times when we have had longer blocks of dialogue in the Craig films it has never been that natural and is full of cheesy or/and double entries like between Bond and Vesper on the train in Casino Royale and Moneypenny and Bond in Skyfall in the temporary underground SIS headquarters. It all started when the Brosnan era kicked in. Most of what I hear in the two eras doesn't sound believable or natural.

I think this is one of the reasons this approach worked not so well in "SPECTRE". To me Daniel Craig still had this introspective atmosphere surrounding him, while at the same time Mendes wanted to add more circumstantial light-hearted comedy. The reason this comedy-element to me didn't work is because the humour should have come from Daniel Craig himself, from his lines alone. On top of that, the absence of dialogue also resulted in a film that was devoid of logical explanations for certain actions. It was all...gone...and we had to guess. SP would really have worked better if Daniel Craig would have given more lines. And not only him, but also Christoph Waltz.

My guess is that Phoebe Waller-Bridge changed this.

And then Bond retires and Bond 26 is a remake of the spoof version of Casino Royale ...

It doesn't have to be classified ahead of an online drop - quite notably since it's also Universal, the CATS trailer was rated only a day or two before it began playing here in the UK with Lion King.

Exactly. He was supposed to be a traitor in SPECTRE but Fiennes didn't want to play a villainous character and fought against it.

Where does that even come from?

Besides, that "badass" Lashana pic doesn't even proof that she'll be DA FEMALE 007 (imho). She might just be send to save them.

This is all getting a bit out of hand. :-$

I felt that way after it turned out that Bond and Blofeld were foster brothers but I'll drag myself out to see NTTD.
