And I suppose this has EVERYTHING to do with NTTD filming, which is what this thread's is about, the filming of the newest instalment brought to you by EON productions. Well done guys, way to derail, alienate and infuse this with negativity once more.

You don't want negativity on forums yet you go in the "Dubbing 007" thread to inject a lot of negativity and even hijacking the thread only to say that you think movies shouldn't be dubbed when absolutely no one asked you to.

I don't deny that (if you're talking about not wanting negativity), I'm just saying he's not being coherent with what he says ;) I'm being coherent with myself and that's more important imo

Very flattered that you remember me, @Walecs. Here's a hug :)

Having a negative opinion on something pretty much institutionalised is not the same thing as injecting negative suppositions about something we know close no nothing about.

And the mods made a terrific job putting the proper topic on the proper thread, so let's keep it that way, shall we?

Oh, and @Walecs, one more hug, man ;)

@Univex and @Walecs time to drop whatever the issue is between you two.
You're just bickering, and it contributes nothing to the thread at hand.

Meant to put an end, or bury the ax in that last post, @Benny. Hence, the hugs ;) And I really don't know what @Walecs has against me. I've got no quarrel with him whatsoever.

Apparently, there has been a submission made to the BBFC - not showing on their website - yet! And, before everyone starts talking about not needing to go before a ratings board for digital publishing, I believe every Bond trailer and teaser has prior to it's release. Not sure if anyone else can confirm this?

Heard from a contact doing SFX on the film (I mentioned before about wire removal and a cannon from a vehicle), which I had presumed might be shots being worked on for the trailer/teaser and then a second person at Pinewood. He's worked on lots of Bond films since DAD and started NTTD after Hobbs and Shaw (let's not judge). Apparently, there's also something striking with titling - I was told a 1968 Thomas Crown effect made to look like a digital interpretation of an optical style. I know it's a bit vague but that's all I know - but it's exciting!

Unsure of the specific interpretation but found this online. Seems like something Binder-like using the typography of the logo text?

As a huge TCA fan, I have to say that'd be cool. Kind of reminds of Dr. No. And that's a nice thing. It also reminds me of the light show they did in Matera, remember? And it bodes well with Sandgren's sometimes colourful cinematography. Fingers crossed.

Sorry I am not too familiar with the BBFC ratings. Does a submission today mean an imminent trailer release? Or will it likely be a coup days or weeks?

New from Lashana this morning....................................................doesn't look like Pinewood. Could they be in Norway or the Faroe Islands?

Don't think we have seen these before?

Remember all pics with Lashana, Lea, Cary on that unknown italian stony beach-location. Today I got these pics from one of my followers plus text. Don't know if that is Craig with them, stunt-double or just someone stearing the rib boat, which by the way I suggested the other day Lashana was suited for.

The italian location is the beach known as #santavenerehotel in Maratea ( Basilicata, Italia) #Maratea

    Very interesting, @Contraband

More from that day. I'm said that it's Craig on the boat with Léa and Lashana...

Could someone identify anyone? (Apart from Cary, of course...)

Nope, but the place is officially the same spot Cary was scouting when he posted a pic of the Spiaggia Nera in Maratea on Instagram:

The trailer would need to be rated for cinema release - a BBFC submission today means they're likely wanting it out to UK cinemas for Gemini Man next week if not even Joker tomorrow...

Also very interesting regarding the titling! I wondered how the logo would look in motion in the marketing.

Anyway keeping an eye out.. hopefully later tonight/tomorrow

Could it be they've held out until the very last minute to reveal anything to the BBFC just to keep us guessing? Maybe the trailer will actually land tomorrow or Saturday.

I may be wrong but from what I’ve gathered, the BBFC only need approve a trailer for release in cinema. The trailer may very well be released on line at any time with no rating.

If we don’t get a trailer on Saturday I’d imagine we would at least get a poster? Or maybe an official image?

We should definitely get something on Global James Bond Day. Missed opportunity if they don’t do anything.

Movie comes out in 6 months.

I'd be baffled if they miss the Joker release, and their own self-created event, to hold it for Gemini Man.

It may well play out that way. But from a marketing perspective I just wouldn't understand it at all. At this point, it's so quiet, I'm suspecting both poster and trailer drop Saturday for JBD.

I'm also leaning to think that way.

GJBD 2012: Skyfall was about to be released and it was the 50th, so we got Adele's theme song.

GJBD 2013: No film in production, so random commemorative post.

    GJBD 2014: Same as above.

GJBD 2015: SPECTRE was about to be released, so we got Sam Smith's music video.

GJBD 2016: No film in production, some 50% off or so discount on the store.

GJBD 2017: People speculated for B25 news, but things were a bit messy, so again another store promo.

GJBD 2018: Same as above, we hoped for news but the film was still in a limbo, so again another store promo.

GJBD 2019: With NTTD six months ahead of us and people talking about it and waiting for a trailer, stills or poster and most of the location shooting done, they'll have to give us something worthy of GJBD that really feels "global". If it's not the trailer, it should be the teaser poster and an announcement that the trailer is coming next week. Or a bunch of stills to let us know that the poster and trailer are out next week.

I master DCP trailers all the time, and submission to BBFC is *wildly* unpredictable. For example, for a classification screening on Friday, I need to get content to them by 3pm Thursday. As far as classifcation process goes, they normally try and squeeze as many trailers in between each feature ingesting into their TMS (theatre management system). I'd hazard if they'd received the DCP trailer today, they'll likely classify it and any others they have to hand in a block before they start the first feature tomorrow.

Whilst I'm sure EON would love to be able to use AKA titles (for example, Casino Royale prints were known as 'Alcazar' when shipped out to screens), BBFC won't accept that for submission, so if it's gone over, it'll be marked as 'NO TIME TO DIE'.

I've not heard anything back yet...
