Any chance the teaser is skipped and we get a trailer first.

If there’s nothing by thanksgiving that’s not a good sign

Babs said the teaser is ready

Well it’s not going to be a cookie cutter film

They were only able to get away with the secrecy because the film is pinewood heavy.

We learned a lot during the matera shoot

I disagree. Matera provided puzzle pieces, but not much we can put together.

Indeed. Bond & Madeline are being chased, most likely after he visits Vesper's grave.

When, how, why,... not clear at all. ;-)
  • Lots of helicopter activity in Blackfriars today. In particular, a low flying helicopter filming by the bridge. Based off the local buzz, people seem convinced its for Bond.

Didn't remind you the letter ? Looks like it was a true one.

I’m at Westminster, heading down there in 90mins or so.

Bloody Hell. I'm in Islington and I can hear the roaring of rotorblades. Anyone made it down there yet? P.S. bugged my friend at the BBFC again about the trailer. She's being uncharacteristically tight-lipped about whether or not they've even received it.

Must admit I'm starting to get the feeling, the teaser was delayed or kept back
If that is the case (complete speculation on my part) I wonder why? Perhaps the other trailers it was being released next to? Or maybe they wanted more footage in the trailer, that they hadn't edited properly or even shot yet?

Either way I'm excited, who would have thought two months after learning the title we still wouldn't have seen any footage yet

I love seeing the title logo in use. It really stands out.
  • No more news or photos of Helicopters over the Thames then ? The letter suggested it was just early morning stuff. Are you sure Helos later in the day were not just regular London air traffic emergency, private flights? There are always Helicopters flying around.

There have been helicopters around all day, mainly because of protests.

    What do we want!? "Teaser!"

When do we want it!? "NOW!"

"IF RAMI MALEK IS DR. NO, THEN BARBARA BROCCOLI'S GOT TO GO!"

If Rami Malek is Dr. No, who is playing the new re-booted Honey Ryder?

    Or the new Prof Dent?

    The new Pleydell-Smith?

    Who's playing Pussfeller?

Most importantly, who is playing the new re-booted Mr Jones?

We seem to already have most of the character's names except Malek's.

I sincerely doubt the name Dr No will appear alongside Malek as the end credits roll.

Well it's tricky, isn't it? It could be they're delaying it for tactical reasons, to get a really good slot and maximize marketing impact. Or, they're shuffling through some last minute script or cast changes and don't want to wrong-foot themselves with the teaser.
Or none of the above, as usual...

Blofeld is one thing; given that he's Bond's nemesis it was a matter of time that he'd return (especially after the lawsuit). If they brought back Dr. No, or any other one off villain, it would be crazy. In a good way, I think. It'd be cool to see a contemporary imagining of some of these characters, Goldfinger comes to mind as well.

I haven't read the Dynamite comics re: Oddjob and Goldfinger yet, heard they're not great, but the idea still is very compelling to me.

You know, they started Craig's era with Casino Royale, then they won the lawsuit and brought back SPECTRE with Blofeld... I really wouldn't be surprised if to "end the reboot" they came "back to the start" (of the films) with the character of Dr. No.

Not revealing Malek's character name, which would be not much of a news if is an original one, kinda makes the secrecy suspicious like we saw with Waltz.

Not that I want that, but it's not so far from all the events we saw since Craig's debut.

All very good points. I think it’d be cool if they went that route, but obviously would be very happy with a totally original story as well.
