Can we please put his ankle injury to rest, filming is not delayed, the release date isn't either.

Hmmm......have you read the Eon statement? Production is still underway, however Craig is out of action for two weeks and he has already missed a two weeks.

Therefore, Craig will miss a month of filming.

This is the news that is currently emerging. Basically Bond 25 will have a much more compressed post-production schedule than usual.

Its really incumbent on Fukunaga to shoot as much as possible around Crag's injury now. I hope they use this gap properly. In 2015 whilst filming Spectre, Craig also had to take a beak due to knee surgery:
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-32189448

They were 4 months into shooting then. n this case, we are only 2-3 weeks in..........................................................................

Dear God, why do I even bother.

Well, as a word of advice from an impartial observer, you're often coming across as prone to belligerent ad hominem posts. That may not be your intention, but it may be the result.

According to people like Bondsum, the tabloid's constant exaggeration of "issues" during Craig's era should be taken for granted just because it concerns an actor they don't like.
Do you contribute anything to this forum apart from petty asides? Where's your proof that I dislike Craig? I've never once mentioned my dislike of Craig as Bond. All I'm saying is that some people should engage their brain first before reeling off a quick response. Something you'd do good to take note of as well.

Thank you @Pierce2Daniel for spelling it out so @JamesCraig can understand that DC "was" injured and will miss a total of four weeks shooting time.

Do you have an issue with me not giving into all this negativity?

No. No, no, no! I want Bond to sarcastically comment on them, of course! Can you imagine, Daniel Craig and two cats?

    Again, for what it's worth....

The assessments above (re: believing or not believing the tabloids) and the criticisms of members for their negative responses towards the papers are unfair and not a correct reflection of the stuff that has been written over the last few months. I don't recall anyone saying the ankle injury was a lie, so I'm not quite sure why people are virtue signalling about it. It would have been more resonant or reasonable if those criticisms were aired at the time rather than doing it now when it's easy and word it as if it were obvious. It just seems hollow.

The attitudes towards the tabloids here are mostly (in fact, I'd say almost entirely) in response to the stories about Craig being problematic and uncommitted to the role, the crew being unhappy, Fukanaga and Craig not getting on, the script clearly being a shambles because they had to hire PWB and then that PWB was turning the film into a feminist film despite her allegedly only spicing up dialogue...

And, as an aside, there were sensationalist terms like "filming cancelled" used in conjunction with these reports, too - so to act as if people were unfair on calling out the tabloids is frankly a fruitless debate. The words were all there for everyone to see. The topic has many other variables than just the ankle injury, so it would be equally important for everyone to remember that while they're suggesting how members should be responding to these things.

So much for this being the thread of positivity, good times, and excitment. DC has hurt his ankle and now...

    Wow.........looks like a costume test.

    Many films do this for lighting reference and to see the costumes on camera. In fact, the upcoming Birds of Prey released a costume test video to announce the start of filming;

If this is the case. Then i'm loving Naomie's new look! Much better than her dodgy hair in SF and SP.

Probably for commercial, nothing to do with Bond. I THINK.

I hope not. Lashana Lynch’s outfit in Jamaica was enough to make me gag. Seydoux still looks like a cold statue. The only good looking girl in the film is likely to be Ana de Armas.

I know she's got a line out with H&M at the moment, but it's her own range co-authored with Rosario Dawson. It could be for something else, but it could be for Bond, too.

I'm fairly confident it is not a costume test though, for a variety of reasons.

I think that's my vote too; just that a red dress doesn't seem very Moneypennyish . . .

If Daniel is out of action for a few weeks watching Netflix... er I mean recuperating.... perhaps his 'hunky' (word courtesy of the Daily Mail) stunt double can take over the part. :D

And even that’s up for debate, right?

I broke my right foot. Sprained both ankles twice when I was 18-19.

I actually played my senior year of basketball with both ankles swollen and sprained... Now there are different types of sprains but also I was 18-19, Craig is what 51? My Dad is 58 and extremely active but doing action sequences/jumps etc at that age is a lot harder when you’re in your 50s.

If this was a 38-40 year old Craig he’d be back the next week.

I could see him returning mid June.

Their coverage of that stunt double was starting to get a bit uncomfortable . . . they needed to turn down the adulation by a few notches!
