One YouTuber known as Midnight’s Edge framed it as the filmmakers “emasculating” Bond because of addressing #MeToo, and then would refer to things like “he’s known for slapping women” as if this is what Bond regularly does in the films. He was clearly just trying to play to his fan base because he knows they’re mostly a bunch of misogynist incels that easily get upset.
The question of which side will have an impact on the films' success is a different debate entirely. But if the last few years of box office proved anything is that 'diversity' can serve as a box office boost - in North America in particular - for films that people are excited about. But it won't boost a film people aren't already hyping/aware of, or just plain disinterested in regardless. And as for the 'boycott' crowd, yeah they won't have an impact at all.

By the way, in case anyone was wondering, THR in the piece do all but confirm the Nomi as 007 rumour.
Wow......
this feels like Christmas morning. Lashana and Ana look AMAZING!
I guess they will be the strongest and most independent of them all lol.
They did, yes.

Sounds about right.
"In Thunderball (1965), Bond attempts to beat a confession out of Tatiana Romanova (Daniela Bianchi)"
This reporter woman is obviously deep into the Bond lore lol...
I don't even care if she knows this stuff or not, but if she doesn't, why post it then?
Good interview overall. One or two cringy tidbits here and there, but oh, well.
Glad to hear the intimacy coordinator was just media BS.
No, they've just returned from Helga's House Of Pain. ;-)
It's doubtful but who knows. I do remember DC wearing his CR wardrobe for a photo shoot with Eva in 2006. I believe the sweater (and t-shirt) and slacks are what Bond was wearing on the balcony with Mathis:
She remains one of the most glamorous, beautiful and intelligent Bond girls overall. One of the critical improvements of CR over the previous few films is Vesper. They got that character right in all her aspects.
Thanks for reminding us Ana, i was beginning to wonder about that...
I couldn't agree more.
Interesting……
I’m at a total loss as to who the Paloma character is. She isn’t a femme fatale by the sounds of it. Neither is she the villain’s girl who Bond liberates. So………what is she?
It sounds as if Paloma is going to be a ‘bubbly girl who gets drawn into the mission.’ Sounds a bit lame. She could be a society girl who gets roped into the mission somehow? Sorta like a Kim Kardashian figure.
Also, the tampon thing sounds bad. It sounds like something in Fleabag - in the worst possible sense.
More photos:
Yep. Hasn't been bettered since.
Agreed, i hope it doesn't make the cut.
Paloma sounds like an agent. What else would she do in Cuba of all places?
And she has been saying she's going to kill/fight bad guys so she has training.
Just a guess though.
But i like the idea of her having sky high heels. Maybe they are not going for ultra realism with every character here, which i would welcome.
One could only agree.
Finally sounds we all agree on! I would be disgusted to see that in a Bond film it isn't necessarily at all the whole you know what thing the t word.
She could be a station agent or contact, similar to Fields. But, you know......actually trained. Not there to get involved but ends up involved anyway.
