Yeah I was more thinking of party pics in general. Craig is just a bonus. I'm not that clueless.. 8-}
I was answering the twitter person; not you! Nothing personal intended :)
Ok irrespective of fallout I just hope there is more than the bike stunt. Because that I can see without any movie tricks at any bike show anywhere. I dont care about the amount of action but there should be something that surprises me and that I cant see everywhere else
An invisible motorcycle jump.
LOL... Noted
Story is key.
So hopefully they’ve got one which works as well as the last couple of M:Is too! :)
Bond is about style and atmosphere. When they get it spot on it can’t be bettered. Something like M:I doesn’t even come close. Gadgets are window dressing.
Who was it Cubby or Harry said, Bond stands out from the competition because he got style. Bond had films with gadgets and films without gadgets, and he always made a good impression.
M:I doesn´t need to come close, because it´s its own thing. There is no need for seeing them as competition so much. It´s great to have both, plus others. Makes life richer.
Yeah, true...Bond was always about style....I think Bond travelling with a Sophisticated Suit case was very stylish. I don't mean ludicrous gadgets like an invisible car & all that. At least something that would prompt Awe of some sort...but still retains an engaging plot.
Sure...he always did. Am just saying those comparisons started when he was stripped off his Gadgets. People won't compare him to Bourne or Hunt...if he still used Gadgets of some sort.
Yeah, true....the media always spearheaded those comparisons.
Yes definitely: that's its USP- they're fairly average adventure films made with much more artistry than they really have any right to be: beautiful sets, music etc. M:I doesn't try to do the same thing (they're also not about celebrating the main character in the way the Bond films are), but Bond films do need to be exciting and have a satisfying plot too, and when it comes to comparisons with Fallout, Spectre didn't even come close.
They're both action films aimed at the same market: comparisons are very valid. Bond even ended up poaching some of the Bourne people- it would seem odd to say they're utterly unrelated.
Secondly, that poker scene from CR and courtroom Scene from SF is one of the best examples on how to create tense atmosphere without much action.
M:I films show Hunt doing equally impressive stuff but they're never really a celebration of the character (which is fine: they both do things in different ways).
I agree. Gadgets are of secondary importance at best.
But I hope they won't go for another "teh IMF will be shut down, betrayud" angle.
Film doesn't need to be Xbox vs Playstation, DC vs Marvel, or whatever Sportsball arguments people like to get into. Appreciate the qualities of both and you'll be all the happier for it. Not everything needs to descend into tribal warfare.
It's actually been brought up quite a bit. But that doesn't make it any less valid. Though, to me, it's a franchise staple so I never had much of an issue with it. I have more of an issue with Bond doing regularly.
What God no , SF plot was Silva getting his revenge on M. Bond was just played supporting. Mind you it's the only bond film where bond was missing for quite sometime after title sequence- mi6 opening/ M & Mallory conversation/ headquarters attack.
Mi movies is about Hunt because if it isn't how come we never knew anything personal stuff about other supporting characters.
Bond films showed Moneypenny bf in SP /M had an husband who appear slightly in CR bed Scene when an mi6 operative called him when bond login to M's account and she mentioned him in SF Tennyson line as well /Q has a cat(although it doesn't really matter) ,they do care about the supporting Characters as much as the lead, something which is yet to happen in MI.
That was only five minutes, maybe even less.
Yes they’re ace. Well, maybe not Ryan so regularly! :)
This is not true. Many Bond films have plots which aren’t about Bond (YOLT is about some rockets going missing for example) but all of the films are about him.
More I would say but my point was M has far more screen time than any of the supporting characters or previous M's. After Silva got captured M was almost there for every single scene and what film doesn't have a lead Characters Rambo/Jason Bourne you name it. Bond film's don't just create style or show beautiful landscapes, it's more about creating an atmosphere which happens twice in Craig era which I mentioned above.
