Yeah, @mtm...that's why I said 'particularly thrilled'....you might be slightly thrilled...but are you over the moon to go see Nomi as 007?. Am not saying I totally dislike the idea. But am not that crazy about it.

Well as enthusiastic as I am about any of it I guess, which is to say I’m looking forward to this film but it’s not the most important thing in my life! :)
I guess in terms of what I’m most excited/curious about the film I’d put the Zimmer score top, and probably the Aston Martin chase next because that looks fun, and then everything else about it kind of on the level below that on sort of equal mild anticipation, including Nomi 007. I wouldn’t claim to be ‘over the moon’ about any of it: I’m just quietly looking forward to the whole thing :D

I saw the trailer in work today, for like the first time in like 4 weeks or so, and it struck how much more colourful this film is compared to Skyfall and Spectre. The colours seemed to shoot right off of my mates phone, so I can't even imagine how great that will be in the cinema.
I almost forgot how amazing that trailer is by the way

My least favourite type of post. What's the point?

Anyway, it seems things are going to start chugging into gear in earnest soon. A hot awards season for Eilish helps, and no doubt that timing will really play well for her theme song. Another Bond theme that's a chart topper or radio hit? Could be nice.

The next trailer and posters will be big for the marketing push and I suspect not as richly revealing for fans.

Trailer, song or posters will be coming for sure but it feels weird that we only have one official behind the scenes footage this time only for jaimaica. No matera,London or Norway [-( .

With SF & SP we almost had 10 for locations/bond girls/stunts/score/song. Although now that Billie and Zimmer on board we might get two official behind the scenes videos like we had in SP for Newman's score and Smith's song.

If there is to be another trailer, I wonder when it will drop. Superbowl perhaps?

Maybe we might get some better DVD extras this time round? Perhaps even a documentary if it is Daniel's last film. Just a thought

:)>- good point. If it's Daniel last they will do something special for DVD and Blu-ray versions.

It would be great if we got a James Bond for real style documentary that they released on Casino

Now that is something that has not happened in a while in regards to the 007 trailers.

The closest we've come to that recently is having music from the previous film in a trailer.

Anyone seen or heard anything from Billy Magnussen? He's sort of a forgotten player in all of this. Is it because he's playing a very minor role, or is it strategic, to keep attention off his character?

Aren’t Super Bowl trailers typically released online prior to the event?

    Not for films, no.

Except Fast 9 which is dropping Friday, like Hobbs and Shaw last year.

It’s Daniel’s last film as James Bond, so I think what they can look forward to is a kind of summing up, I guess, of all of the previous Bond films that Daniel’s done. There are strands from all of the films in it, kind of reaching a conclusion.
    What about working with Cary?
It was great. And you know what was amazing is that he treated it, or was able to approach it, it felt to me almost as if it were an independent film. You know? And it was quite improvisational … we didn’t do many takes. It was very light. Sometimes quite chaotic, but I’m very excited to see how he’s constructed the final film.

Since it’s essentially confirmed this is Craig’s last and every person involved with the film has more or less reinforced that, I’m genuinely shocked they didn’t take the opportunity to market this movie as his final entry. Kind of a shame.

Same here. Though who knows, maybe we'll see that angle come in with the next trailer and the TV campaign.
  • One wonders when the final media push will start. Presumably once everyone starts doing the rounds of talk shows, the "Craig's Last Bond" would be one of the talking points?

Because Barbara Broccoli is clinging on to the remote chance he may change his mind.

The 007 Instagram account keeps posting different cuts of the original trailer, some with additional new footage. The latest shows Craig making out with a woman who I suspect may be Anna De Armas? It doesn't look like Lynch or Seydoux.

Also who composed the music in the trailer we've seen?

It’s Seydoux. The shot your mentioning is the same shot of them both kissing in Matera in the main trailer.

@Octopussy it was Jeff Pfeifer. He's scored all the Craig era trailers to date starting from CR which he did with his brother. He's got a massive library of cues also that have are used for TV spots.

I'm not necessarily sure about that, otherwise why allow NTTD to be an Endgame style story finale for Craig, which even she teased in the Variety interview?

I raised this on Twitter a few days ago, consensus seems to be to make things easier re: promoting the next Bond after Craig. Not having to build it up from scratch as much, with the actual story elements (like, NTTD being a finale and B26 being another reboot, a separate continuity) not being something to concern the general public with, keeping them thinking it's just as before (at cost of people thinking B26 is a sequel and where's Nomi as 007?)

I think from Bond 26 onwards, Eon should go back to Standalone, mission-based adventures to avoid another SP continuity problem....that they're now looking to correct in NTTD.
