  • Or maybe Rami's character is influenced by Dr. No but isn't referred to as Dr. No.

I think B26 should carry on with the Craig continuity and mention the past only when the story warrants it (Vesper, although it's overdone lately; Blofeld, etc.). No need to hit the Brothergate note again--only we obsessive fans will remember that anyway.

Going forward, Eon should just ignore what didn't ultimately work from CR-SP, just as they did with Sylvia Trench.
No way this can work, they've already established an aging Bond in the Craig era.

And they ignored the aging Bond of AVTAK in TLD et al.

I’m starting to think vesper is alive or safin used her body to bring her back in some form We know bond visits her grave this obviously ties into the story later in the film.

So cloning people would be the solution to one of earth’s biggest problems? Overpopulation is already a big problem. I don’t know.

Like a Blade Runner 2049 situation with Rachael? That would be...interesting.

If done well, very very well, yes.

Just a quick FYI – but I heard from someone close to the production that Safin definitely isn’t Dr No. There are a few members here that can vouch for me, so let’s not get too carried away just yet…….

You have a mole at EON? How reliable is this source just curious? @Pierce2Daniel

The film seems to definitely take influence from blade runner. Safins base, Paloma, the long run time , children possibly being a theme , genetic warfare, the look of the film.

Not sure if I like it or not yet. This one is hard to tell by the trailers. It seems radically different from Spectre though and more American

Has it been confirmed Madeleine is the only Bond girl in a romantic / sexual sense in NTTD? I remember reading some rumor about an intimacy coordinator for Craig + de Armas, but others suggested Bond will be monogamous for the first time.

Yup, De Armas denied that there was an intimacy coordinator and that that share any love scenes in the THR interview.

Bond and Madeleine will be broken up for a large portion of this film so I'm not sure that monogamous rumor has any credibility.

As long as it’s executed well I can handle the idea of a monogamous Bond this one time, but I’m strongly against this becoming a staple in the future because of “changing times” or whatever.

It would be great if he is indeed Dr No but only implicitly, and that nobody calls him Dr No in the movie and would be subject of interpretation for the viewers; so then for some of the viewers he will be Dr No and for the other he won't and in a way he will be both at the same time.

Not to keep beating a dead horse, but yet again, we have an article referring to Craig as "007."

Pretty cool that Craig had a new gunbarrel for each film. Just hoping this one goes at the start where it belongs!

Barbara seems to be suggesting that at the time of shooting it was definitely intended for the opening

I'm willing to bet that it was shot when they shot the promo stuff for the title reveal since that is likely among the last stuff shot. If so, we'll be getting Craig in the tux for the gun barrel.

Love how everyone who though it was “death of you” is ignoring that’s its “him”.

It’s “you”, it gets a bit mumbled (not really the correct description). It’s been discussed extensively already.

In the new tv spot there isn’t any shot of Blofeld, just the voice over of the line. It’s very clear “him”.

I still hear “you”. We’ll know in a few months, but I wouldn’t say it’s “clear” at all if people are still disagreeing.

This is weird phenomenon because I truly hear "Him" without a doubt in my mind. I wonder if it will be this confusing in the film itself?

As I said, the set visits confirm the barrel was shot in October on the last day of filming. But the likelihood of a tux is the same as they were also filming the Cuba party stuff then.

I've watched the clip several times as I'm sure we all have. I'm really liking the look of this film. I think the plane looks a bit Brosnan era, but aside from that (based upon what we've seen to date) it it looks like a classic, thrilling Bond film to end of Craig's tenure.

If you look closely at the frame of Malek holding the gun to the camera, it looks quite similar to the room where Strangways speaks to Dr. No for the first time.

    3057808-inline-s-5-rip-ken-adam-designer-of-hollywoods-most-imaginative-sets.jpg

    Nice callback!

Another interesting thing I noted is that when Craig's under water he's wearing a white shirt with suspenders. It's not a tab collar shirt as there's no secondary button and if I'm not mistaken the only visible button looks like a stud, meaning this is underneath his tuxedo. We've seen Craig almost always wear suspenders underneath his tuxedo starting from Casino Royale. Does this potentially take place after his run in with SPECTRE?

A lot of interesting visuals and a lot to dissect!

Thought of this connection to Dr. No as well with that image.

    Complex mag:

Several of the department heads on various crews from costumes to weapons have worked on Bond films dating back to Dalton even, but they all speak highly of Fukunaga’s freshman energy and seem proud to be in service of his vision. The vehicle crew especially says they were spoiled, with No Time featuring not one but two insane car chase sequences.

If I go in wanting to hear “him,” that’s what I’ll hear, and vice versa with hearing “you” if I want to.
