    I think back in 2015, Rogue Nation did something Similar to avoid competition with SP & The Force Awakens.

    Yeah, not close....Rogue Nation was originally slated for December 25, 2015 before been moved to July 31, 2015...not the exact situation with NTTD now though.

    Though this story actually originated in The Sun…. I think MI6’s article preceded and encouraged The Sun article. Probably no story.

    The real story that no one is talking about currently is Mulan. That film cost $300 million and was made primarily for the Chinese market.

    Outside of China, the situation is not great but we are off Pandemic levels. The film industry is said to be healthy and this weekend’s Onward is on track for a big opening. So…………………..let’s wait and see.

    (I’d be most heartbroken if the premiere is cancelled)

    I’m not disputing the flying glider is Cgi. And yes building a cock pit is by no means proof they have actual sized glider.

    However it look too well integrated into both the plane hanger set and in the water to not be anything but real.

    Umm, they actually did shoot a real plane crash in SP something which i haven't seen any action film did that yet(even MI), as far as I know. Here you go at 1:04

    That's a great action shot of Bond.
    My only very minor complaint would be it's a shame the braces aren't white/silver, but I'll get over it. The wardrobe people in this film seem to like braces that stand out, which is a nice change I guess

    Just bought my tickets. I actually got teared up when I clicked "Purchase." I don't think that's ever happened to me before. It's utterly ridiculous but I guess that's what happens when I wait five years for a new Bond movie!

    I think it was JJ Abrams on the first of the SW sequels that really pushed for full scale props and model work over CGI. I totally agree with that approach where possible. Almost always looks better IMO.
    Agreed. At the same time, that film shows some excellent CGI right away in the first few minutes, when an alien nurse is prominently in the frame.

    I´m sure using models in the Fallout helicopter crash wouldn´t have looked less realistic ;-).
