Yep. I'm not sure why this idea of the date being pushed back is still coming up. Short of a cataclysmic event, there's no reason to even consider pushing back yet.
Daniel Craig, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas and Dali Benssalah are filming all week in Pinewood a big sequence that involves all of them. Of course, Fukunaga is and will be there.
Is this big sequence you speak of the one that is involving all the gunfire they warned loacl residents about?
Thank you, @ggl007. That's great to hear. :)
Thank you. Thanks for the info.
Léa Seydoux has not yet filmed her scenes, it's looks like they will be in Italy.
;)

They should do the sensible thing and push the release date back to October 2020.
You can't make these vague claims without sourcing it. Also, how is it possible for Craig to film in his current condition?!?
agreed, it would resolve all the problems...
Well worth a read if you're pondering the current state of things.
A few weeks, usually - it depends on how badly the ligament is torn. However, considering Dan has had surgery it should heal a bit faster. I had a similar injury thanks to a nasty stud-showing tackle in football from a few years ago. Ligaments are worse than a broken bone in that one a ligament is torn it is rarely the same strength ever again, though it does seemingly heal a bit faster.
They'll keep Dan's physical exertion to a minimum for the next 2-3 weeks. After that, he could start putting weight back on it again.
While the most likely, do we know that it was a tendon?
I was told it was a ligament damage.
Like many of you, I have nothing but respect for the commitment Dan has brought to the role. My favourite Bond, in fact. And I have no doubt that he'll do whatever he can to deliver another great performance.
But those photos . . . the optics are dreadful. The tabloids are going to have a feast on the image of James Bond hobbling around on crutches.
Although I don't think that EON should let the media dictate their moves, it might be time for a few judiciously-measured tidbits to come out. A few vignettes on YouTube, a short behind-the-scenes or 'on-set' interview with a nice friendly personality . . . something!
Here's a nice overview
https://www.epainassist.com/bones/what-is-ligament-tear
"What is the Recovery Period from Ligament Tear?
Majority of cases of Ligament Tear resolves within four weeks of injury and the patient can return back to normal level of activities but in some severe cases it may take up to 12-16 weeks for full recovery from a Ligament Tear."
:D And unnoticeably! You only see it when you know to look for it.
Where?
I wouldn't be surprised if we get something minor soon, like one of those on-set videos.
It's a bit of a toss up. Were this a traditional November/December-start for a Bond film, where we are right now would be, what, the equivalent of the very beginning of January (at best?) Were we seeing on-set media by that point for Skyfall, SPECTRE, etc?
Meanwhile - in spite of this news - filming continues tonight. An extra uploaded this from Pinewood:
It looks like some kinda blacktie party probably in Jamaica. Would be great if Bond returned to a casino in the film.
Meanwhile another extra is playing a ‘Cuban Dancer’:
This "troubled" production is fine.
You know why? Coz those in charge are professionals and have dealt with this through the history of this franchise.
And the rest of us? We're armchair managers/coaches calling for delays, or other silliness.
Once the first teaser drops, and has CF's visual flourishes, and a thumping soundtrack is heard, everyone will be saying holy sh*t, and anticipation for the film will explode.
There's a great story in place; a kick-ass and innovative director working with a spectacular cast.
Relax....
Very true, Peter! Voice of reason!
+1000.
'Lashe...' (on blue post-it note)
Lashana to play a dancer.
I'd say the lead actor seriously injuring themselves is fairly cataclysmic isn't it? On an action movie in particular. Just saying.
A super fit friend was wearing a boot like this for over a month and then hobbling on crutches for a few weeks more before recovering.
However it looks like they're pushing ahead with filming so they must be expecting Dan to be fit quite soon.
Perhaps the ensemble nature of the cast and focus on other characters other than Bond means there's lots to shoot that doesn't require Dan.
Guys seriously some of you need to get some perspective.
There is a difference between realism and mindless denial.
