    Other studios have more properties they can rely on tbh. This the biggest property MGM and EON have, so to release the film in April and suffer such a big loss at the box office, while causing backlash with the film's contents, would be very ill advised, especially for Craig's last film.

    Yep that's why I say they have to play it safe now they have no choice now they burned all their get out of jail free cards. Now they have to do this to make just a profit.

    Uhmhmm. The frustration is understandable at this stage. But again, I think it's important to wait and see how those films do in the coming months. I am sure that the optics of another delay was taken into account, so the fact that they pushed it back anyway says a lot.

    Speaking generally - not just in terms of NTTD - I think we'll be fine by November. I'm not a betting man, but I am hopeful the virus thing will be sorted within the next four months.

    I don't really understand what you mean though? The film's done. As other people have mentioned, the only thing that's gonna change by November is some new bits of marketing, maybe one final edit which won't change much and maybe some music changes but nothing drastic that'll effect characters or story.

    Gonna say my confidence that they stick to the November date is relatively low. Don't think I can be blamed.

    I mean they painted themselves in such a corner they can't risk anything even if it came out in April people could have claimed back when they did push it to April only because of box office and it turns out it wasn't we simply don't know what is going on behind the scenes. But it seems strange why they would wait so long I know it's a bad virus and the film is done but that doesn't mean they are totally satisfied and can't change who knows what they will change or won't we know nothing at this point. We will only know the final product and after the film is out.

    Don't worry, I get it! As I said, it's very understandable. The wind was really taken out of my sails yesterday too. A friend of mine that I hadn't seen in a long time came to visit me, and we spent an hour talking about NTTD (we watched that most recent TV spot). I was feeling giddy with excitement; the new Bond was only a month away!

    Then, an hour later, well.....this happened.

    It's one of those things that just can't be anticipated.

    What can I say - I’m a cynic and am basing my feelings off the unfortunate pattern this film has seen. I also hope the virus is dealt with and as soon as possible. I would honestly have felt slightly better if they just announced the film was delayed indefinitely at this point, so that we’re not bound to yet another potential release date change.

    I took last night to sleep on this crushing news. And as optimistic and “look for the silver lining” as I was trying to be yesterday, I have this sinking feeling about the whole thing. In my view, it could go in either one of two directions: no release in November, which maybe then the decision will be to release the film on streaming platforms (unprecedented, but hey, it is what it is). Or two, NTTD will come to theaters by next year once the pandemic and all the rightful hysteria around it dissipates.

    I was really looking forward to doing a full Bondathon in order leading up to seeing NTTD. I'll still do that but that means I'm going to have to refrain from watching any Bond movies until November for the full effect. Oh well.

    I was just thinking, the cherry on top of all of this would be if after all this awful waiting, whenever the film does actually come out (I’m betting not this year), it ends up being terrible :))

    Agreed. There is ZERO evidence the virus will be gone in November or that theaters in Asia/elsewhere will be open. The outbreak gets worse by the day. They should consider just releasing it on streaming at this point. This virus isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

    I would much rather watch it on streaming than have to wait until 2021 or further til the outbreak goes away. At that point I would think the future of the franchise was in serious jeopardy given that they probably won't even begin looking for DC's replacement until well after NTTD.

    Lynch spoke in The Hollywood Reporter about making Nomi feeling like a relatable woman, with questions about her appearance and making her a bit insecure. She then mentioned talking to Fukanaga about her character possibly being on her period in one scene.

    No, it most certainly doesn't. Daily new cases in early February were around 3000. Daily new cases the last couple of weeks are around 2000. Meanwhile more and more are recovering. The last five days alone almost 10.000 have recovered.
