  • Yes, but spending a few hours at a cinema is nothing compared to concerts, sports matches or airports. As I said, I'm not to be going scared away from going to the cinema. Self isolating for 2 weeks may as well as then turn into locking yourself in your home for 6 months to be on the safe side

It’s not about being scared. If u don’t mind bout yourself you should mind about the people around you, that you may infect without even know. That’s the tricky thing about this virus. In the region where I live there are certain hospitals that started to choose which one had better chances to survive, because in the 15/20% of cases without a full hospital support you’re basically dead. And why? Because with so much infected people there are no beds, no more machines for everybody. The less human contacts the less the virus will spread. It’s not that difficult.

How do you know all of this? There is a reason that disease doesn’t ravage society as it did in the Middle Ages. It’s because there are professionals who dedicate their entire career to the subject, on the back of decades of research, who advise how best to contain them.

You’ll get your bond film in November. It’s coming. We’ve just go to be philosophical about it

As Bond fans, i believe we all want to keep seeing Bond films in future....so I think risking one's life for one Bond film, might not be the wisest choice to make.

Contain doesn't mean completely cut yourself from the outside world. It means limiting contact to the essentials (which does include recreation from time to time).

As Bond fans, i believe we all want to keep seeing Bond films in future....so I think risking one's life for one Bond film, might not be the wisest choice to make.

From that point of view, all those people going out to bulk buy food and toilet rolls are risking their lives more than I would be. You're technically risking your life every time you step outside if you want to think about it like that.

I know but what makes it feel all the worse to me is that there was no kind of apology in the message for the delay or anything to soften the blow. If they had been thinking about delaying it for a while, then they shouldn't have put the tickets on sale and just made the announcement then. It gave me false hope into thinking that everything was okay and full steam ahead with the release.

Humans need food, toiletries & other basic amenities to survive, if one dies trying to get all these....not that one wants to die, but these are worth it. But risking one's life for as Bond film?.....Hmmmm, I think each and everyone of us here are Avid Bond fans....but dying for a Bond film?, C'mon! that might be a bit too fanatic.

Or… You know, closer to the film’s actual release…
I think they quickly suspended their campaign when they heard the news. They were perfectly able to do that, as they never publicly stated they had a partnership with Bond. The only info we have is second-hand (And true, certainly, but not communicated via their official channels).

Yeah, you're right. Didn't think about that.

And yes actually, it's been communicated by Nokias CEO. He and Lashana was smiling together the other day in a picture in several tech magazines and he told media about the big launch on the 19th (somewhere in London) and the ad for release on March 8th.

This was before EON pulled the plug.

And from there I tracked down lot's of BTS stills when they shot the ad.

  • Now it's just going to be all of us speculating over minutiae for this film for 8 months rather than actually being able to see the film.

New and fantastic Craig cover feature with GQ
    https://www.gq.com/story/daniel-craig-james-bond-no-time-to-die-cover-2020/amp?__twitter_impression=true
When Casino Royale wrapped, Craig had a sense of where he thought the overall story should go. “The biggest ideas are the best,” he told me. “And the biggest ideas are love and tragedy and loss. They just are, and that’s what I instinctively want to aim for.” After the death of Vesper Lynd, he wanted Bond to shut down, lose everything, and over the course of several adventures, gradually find himself again. “I think we’ve done it, with No Time To Die,” Craig said. “I think we’ve got to this place—and it was to discover his love, that he could be in love and that that was okay.”

Can anyone tell me which magazines have covered Craig/No Time to Die thus far? I try to collect them all. So far, I have the Empire issue & Entertainment weekly. Total Film just came out with one correct?

Correct. GQ is the first one I think that's focused specifically on Craig and we've had a couple focusing on de Armas, Seydoux and Lynch

Cheers, great interview. Dan's physique is impressive, to say the least.

Total Film has two different covers that join up to make one image. Check my NTTD merch/promo thread here, I listed all the magazines I've collected, although there are several more out there:

Maclean’s in Canada has a Bond film tribute magazine on shelves right now, not specific to NTTD though. Someone here mentioned the French SFX did a NTTD issue with a poster. Birth Movies Death also has a collectors Bond issue out right now as well but also not NTTD specific.

Yep, SFX one here, and the poster has the April release date, increasing its value:

Black Widow just released a new trailer. No sign of the movie being delayed. Sucks that its Bond that bit the bug. Bad time being a Bond fan. Was so looking forward to April. So gutted.

Re the tabloid news about Daniel Craig returning for a sixth Bond film,

    https://www.mi6-hq.com/news/tabloids-claim-daniel-craig-may-now-be-tempted-to-a-sixth-film-200306

... at the start of his Saturday Night Live show monologue on 7th March he did reiterate NTTD is his last film. If he were to return he'd have to give a credible explanation.

I suppose he could say "I changed my mind" which is fair enough, he's entitled to change his mind. However, given the amount of times he's said this is his final film it might come over a bit hollow. My gut feeling is NTTD will be his last but you never know what can happen. Just last week we all thought NTTD was out in April but things happen and it's all change!

The GQ photos are heavily photoshopped.

Craig's real face is not that smooth and youthful. Watch his SNL performance to see he looks much older than he does in those photos. It's a shame magazines resort to that fakery. It's dishonest marketing. Oh well. As long as people know they're being deceived it's not such a big deal.

    The real Daniel Craig:

Re the current marking of the film, it's going to be weird to have another batch of magazine promotion in November. This is a strange time in the franchise. James Bond will return... in November. :)

Unfortunately I don't believe this. And for the love of God, those comments after Spectre, how can they keep comparing them with what he said now?

    Enough with the tabloid bs.

I agree with this completely. Surprised that some people are so blasé about the delay.

Because life goes on. Now that Bond's been needlessly delayed, my next cinema trip will be Black Widow.

Disney are in a stronger position than MGM to endure any such damage to their box office.

Though, I think they will be watching Mulan very closely when (/if) it opens in 3 weeks. There is a huge chance that cinemas will close in the USA and that Europe will go into shut-down. That means Black Widow will have to rely on a slimmed down marketing campaign for a pittance at the box office.

Personally, I think we can start the countdown towards Black Widow’s delay….I'm curious how Warner Bros will respond. They have both WW84 and Tenet. I'd be more nervous about the latter.

I think they'll move Tenet to Dune's slot. Sell it to Nolan for the bigger box office and the Oscar push.

I'm surprised 'Black Widow' hasn't been delayed. From all I've read, it's expected that BW will have a much smaller box office intake than recent Marvel releases.

A fantastic read. It gives a great insight into this guy. It reinforces everything I ever felt about him (and damn he’s in great shape).
