How can you be so sure? I mean, he was offered a cameo, but we can't know if he accepted or declined...

I think the ending will be more like The Dark Knight Rises, but it's only us the audience and Madeleine that know he's alive.

Haven't seen TDKR? How does it end?

He's assumed dead in the finale of the film and has a whole funeral and everything, and then Alfred goes on holiday and sees him in a cafe with Hathaway's Catwoman. I don't. think it will be like this completely, but just that idea of letting most people think he's dead and then just going off with Madeleine or summin'.

The article says it's a rumour, but until we don't see the movie we can't keep out the possibility.

Ah the famous british tabloids.. Don't believe that for a minute.

Just a side note in case you didn't knew:

The main reason for Charles visiting the set last summer at Pinewood, as he has done several times before on past Bond movies, is because he's the Patron of the British Film Institute (BFI) and Royal Patron of the Intelligence Services. And I would imagine Babs and Michael thinks it's kind of a tradition having him visit the crew and cast.

Ok, now I know what you mean. Just realized I've seen that ending with Alfred standing, and looking at Bruce sitting down and they almost smile at each other.

Oh, I didn't knew he's patron of the BFI. We'll see when the movie comes out... :)
It would be great to have another member of the Royal family after the Olympic spot back in 2012 with the Queen herself!

That would be a very bad idea. I can already hear the complaints: "Bond again ripz of teh other seriez, not only Bournings".

Let all be safe at the end. I'd prefer him to stay with Madeline, but that will probably not happen.

Fans will always find something to complain about, i would say let them end however filmmakers will find it suitable :)

I still think a delay is inevitable, but I’m remaining cautiously optimistic with all the pictures/stills they’ve been releasing.

That DHL website is also a good indicator.

It does seems like they are slowly stepping up the marketing again. The new still today, reactivating DHL-site with four vlogs in the pipeline

Which would be ironic since it's pretty much how YOLT ends (the novel, not the movie).

I've been feeling that way too for the most part, but I'm thinking they're waiting on Tenet's release to officially make any further moves. If Tenet performs decently enough, perhaps we will luck out and NTTD will still make it this year. But I am bracing for the worst, which I'd think everyone waiting on this film by now should be.

I really hope it comes out this year. A month ago today I lost my dad to lung cancer. I've been working in the NHS on the front line, having to wear unbearable PPE. I'm so tired of life feeling like an endurance test. Nothing offers escapism like Bond. I'm so desperate for something positive this year. Just one thing. Please.

I'm so sorry for your loss @DrClatterhand, I truly am. Just keep up with optimism, it's the key to happiness. Even if it doesn't end with Bond, the Year is very likely to end on a high....something good out of nothing would emerge. Cheer up, Friend.

@DrClatterhand I’m so sorry to hear that. If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here. I’ve also had a horrible year with some very painful loss, and would like nothing more than for NTTD to come out and help salvage it. I hope you’re making it through man - this life is so hard. But you’re not alone.

So sorry for your loss, and I agree 100%. It’s been a terrible year, and it feels like everyday is a test to keep surviving somehow. NTTD making its release date would be a glimmer of light in an otherwise dark year.

So sorry for your loss, @DrClatterhand . If I may, there's a short Netflix series called After Life which revolves around the main character (Ricky Gervais) losing his wife to cancer and how he deals with it. I thought the show was very cathartic, so maybe check it out to ease the wait for NTTD :)
