I've only just noticed the '7' on the 007 logo has a new curve at the top... not very interesting I know! :)

That image must be distorted. In looking at the album cover on iTunes, that rounded "7" doesn't exist. It's the same, traditional 7.

How strange! Maybe they've rubber stamped it from the other side for some reason.

Looks like the uploader just edited the cover to make it look good in landscape.

Mathilde, like Madeline, starts with an "M." (Oh, boy, here come the theories that M is her daddy !) is a popular name in northern Europe. The meaning of the name: a combination of an earlier word meaning might, or strength, with a word meaning battle.

Furthermore, and perhaps I missed it, but I've not yet seen mention of the following:
Roald Dahl, the prolific writer with an appreciation for the absurd -- as evidenced by some of his books ostensibly for children, such as James and the Giant Peach (1961 novel, 1996 film) and greatly enjoyed by many adults, wrote things perhaps of relevance to these conversations:

    1. The screenplay for YOLT, which was released in 1967
    2. The child's book Matilda, published in 1988, which was successfully made into a film (1996) and a theatrical musical (first performed 2010)

One might say the YOLT movie -- the second-most fantastical Bond movie up to then (the spoof Casino Royale was released 45 days earlier) -- demonstrates, as well, Dahl's appetite for and skill with the wild, fantastical and the absurd.

For those unaware, Matilda the book/film/play concerns a strong young lady who is being raised by uncaring, awful "parents." Her schoolteacher, a lady who is quite normal and caring, affects Matilda's life greatly.

I truly doubt that the producers -- who already are inclined, usually (if not always !) quite delightfully, to include in each film at least one homage to bits of content from earlier films -- and the script-writers -- all the writers, not just Phoebe Waller-Bridge -- are unaware of Matilda the book (by "one of their own" colleagues !), the film and the play.

By the way -- you might very well enjoy the book, film and play, and I encourage you to enjoy any and all presentations.

Great, isn't it? I've watched it far too many times! :) I'm a sucker for a nice bit of stunt driving!

Some good stereotypes coming in there too: China is full of bamboo and fireworks :D

Love the new stills, music video, podcast and of course Zimmer's gunbarrel score. I still can't believe they are going with November release. Watching it on first day :)

It’s good to know that when I get a DHL parcel delivered the driver will make sure it’s on time, and won’t be delayed by little things like witnessing horrific car crashes or calling ambulances for those involved :D

Having lived in both Hong Kong and Singapore - it's amazing just how much bamboo is used on building sites for scaffolding. As for boxes of fireworks littering the streets....

Oh I know; I’ve been to HK too so I know it’s not untrue, but that together with the fireworks (twice!) did make me chuckle a bit :)

I'm reminded of both the TND bike chase (fireworks) and Rush Hour bamboo scaffolding fight!

why is the mi6hq twitter leaving cryptic messages. My heart skips a beat when I see them because it seems like they know the film has been delayed.
"When news breaks on a Friday afternoon it's not usually good news"
"Did everyone think 2020 would end nice and quiet with the release of a Bond film?"

Curious. Would certainly be something to drop the music video for the new title song, only to delay the film the following day. Then again, we all bought tickets last time and the film was delayed a day or two later, so it'd be quite fitting, I suppose.

Just curious, @Creasy47; do you or any of the other moderators know who runs that Twitter account? It seems to be the same person posting all the time based on the style of writing and humour. I'm sure you've been asked this before, so I apologise if you have answered already.

No worries at all, I've never received the question. I personally don't, I'd imagine it may be one of the administrators or something, though, unless it is indeed one of the mods and we've somehow never discussed it. I don't use/have Twitter or else I might have a better understanding of the account.
