Enjoyed the interview, Craig seemed on good form and the bridge clip was terrific. Jimmy Fallon on the other hand! I don't watch him normally, is he always so sycophantic? Laughing at nothing and clapping like a seal.
As Sir Roger's Bond would say "it's funny how the least little thing amuses him"

There's a deeper more insidious aspect to this delay and other issues currently plaguing the world. I also apologize for my earlier post, but my frustration is aimed at the larger, more systemic problems here.

The people constantly capitulating and being nice about this are part of the problem. Men of the West, what has happened to our spine?!? Are we the same "men" that fought and won two world wars in the last century? Or are we spineless soy-boys?

Obviously we are becoming the latter. See, closing down cinemas and other businesses NEVER should have been allowed. Mask mandates, regardless of their effectiveness, are merely a symptom of a larger totalitarian push towards complete and utter control of every aspect of our lives. It's the slowly boiling frog scenario played out before us.

9/11 was similar. The Patriot Act, supposedly created to protect us from future attacks, merely suspends habeas corpus. In other words, if you are suspected of being a terrorist they can lock you up without a phone call, a lawyer, a trial, or anything, forever and ever. Red flag laws are of a congruent vein. Yet the Patriot Act was a generation ago and few people today understand its devious implications.

Same thing is happening here. They are disrupting society in order to push fear, control, and an agenda of shifting loyalties towards the state; the only thing that can save you so do what you're told! Imagine the level of control they will have 20 years from now, 50, 100! Think of what your children, conditioned along this same line of capitulation, will face in the coming generations. It's beyond Orwell's worst nightmare.

Sorry for being off topic a bit here, but this delay is part of the new normal. If you think things will be better in April and then it's all back to the way things were... I got a bridge to sell you. :))

Um, no to all of this. We are facing a once-in-100-years (we hope) pandemic. Shutting businesses down and telling people to stay home saves lives. Think of your fellow human.

It’s indeed a short sighted thought. The only way the economy will start to recover is AFTER the virus has been neutralized. Trying to reopen during a pandemic only prolongs it and further hurts the economy. Luckily, the US has an election coming up, so voting out the bozos that clearly have no idea what they’re doing will be a step in the right direction.
  • In light of the most recent delay, I think a change of title is in order. I think EoN should go with No Time To Die: Operation Blue Balls.

Regarding the fact that Bond seems not to be aware they're shooting at him, maybe I have a theory - if not something already mentioned
If I remember correctly there was on Cary's IG profile a video showing a scoring session for the movie with a very similar soundtrack to the one heard at the beginning of this clip. Maybe Bond, just recovered for the explosion, finds the boy (as someone as told) to ask info and come back to the city as quick as he can. The boy leads him to the bridge to meet with the baddies, but he's still a bit unconscious. You can hear how but bullets sound is somehow low, muffle from his perspective when he's hit in the shoulder

    Yeah,
My interpretation (backed up by the soundtrack choice) is that Bond is meant to be quite 'out of it' at this point. Staggered, reeling, a bit disoriented. Which adds nicely to the tension and desperate of his decision to go over the edge. Very cool. Very Craigbond.

    Yessir-- I agree with this!!!

    And...
    dealing with (temporary?) hearing loss
Yes! He's certainly dazed. Disoriented. That look, just before the kid takes off, and just before he's shot, he appears as if he's realized he's going to faint. And then of course, he gets shot at (a bullet seems to go through his jacket's shoulder), and he barely recognizes that, until he finally wakes from his daze and saves himself from being run over

@Junglist_1985 -- I agree. And it hurts to think we're a-ways off. All we can do now is ride this out.

The one positive for the likes of me: Craig is still the man in the tux-- something I have no problem with in the slightest, lol!
  • I hope you're right about that.

The first time I went to the US was for a cousin's wedding, and we traveled to New York. We stayed on Long Island and we spent a few of the days there in Manhattan, briefly taking a subway train to Brooklyn one day so we could walk back to Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge.

When did we set off from Heathrow Airport? The morning (UK time) after the 2016 election - yes, we did keep track of the results before we had to board our flight. We briefly thought (somewhat jokingly) just before our flight when we found out the final result 'Is it too late to turn around?'. Of course the wedding was lovely and the holiday as a whole was nice.

We did however see / experience a couple of Trump-related protests. One was during the first day we were in Manhattan. We decided after visiting Grand Central Station to take a yellow bus down Fifth Avenue to go to the 9/11 museum, and there was a protest going on outside the Trump Tower as we went past. One evening also, two members of our party got caught up briefly in a protest in Manhattan, because they happened to be staying in a hotel there instead of with the rest of us on Long Island.

So strange to think that the wedding and holiday was booked for that exact time! 😂That's definitely my version of 'Where were you when JFK was assassinated?'.

Right. To put in another bozo who barely remembers what day of the year this is. And who tells our kids to go home and listen to the phonograph and to turn on the record player. Lol!!! But nope, this guy has it all together and will surely solve our problems.

No thanks. I’ll stick with the current bozo. Who will win anyway, by the by.

The U.S. election has nothing to do with the production and release of NTTD. Keep it on topic, please.

Hate to harp on a dead subject but I do think some of you will get a kick out of this.
I was 13 when Spectre came out. I was 15 when I joined this forum. I will be 19 when No time to die releases.

If it releases. You'd probably be 20 by the time they actually release it, if we're lucky. I have doubts about an April release, let alone a 2021 release. But I sure hope I'm wrong. I'm just not as optimistic as others here who think it'll all be better in April.

just looked back at the first trailer again and its interesting to note that we already have one 'scene' that is in the trailer that will not be in the final movie - this angle of Bond jumping off the bridge from on top of the bridge has been cut short in the final edit as seen from the new full bridge clip. We only see him take off from in front - this is another thing I had noticed a while back comparing trailers and was wondering which angle they would take.

Don't they sometimes cut/ shave the clips down a bit differently to how they appear in the movie though?

Yeah, it's very common. Just an interesting tidbit that I noticed.

Yup. I've seen this cutting down with nearly all the Craig era films when talk shows feature a clip of an action beat.

However, SP did also have clips that did not feature in the final cut.

It's very interesting, what sharp little eyes you have!
I felt it was shaved down because after the clip of him running on to the bridge, next he is already in the middle.

Another tit bit I noticed from the clip on Fallon's show. (Disclaimer:I don't think I've 'mis-seen' this)
When Bond jumps from the bridge we cut to a front wide shot of the fall. The point Bond is going to land on is still only the middle height of the bridge meaning he is still way off the ground. From the trailer I assumed he landed on the ground.
Do we know how he gets down, we haven't seen this yet have we?

I think if you just run along that level the ground comes up at the sides to meet it.

There is that behind the scenes video blog where Bond kicks the door open into the light from what looks to be a tunnel or something and I assume he then has a fight with Primo, tackles him off the bike, rips his tie off etc. God its gonna be a damn fine opening.

I thought the same but there’s a door presumably with a staircase.

I won't be surprised if they do go for streaming. At least they're using some sense instead of delaying it over and over again like with NTTD. They'd still earn something with streaming. Box office earnings will never be the same again no matter when they release it. The movie is gonna be delayed again if the situation takes a turn for the worse in 2021. Then we'd probably never see it if they still insist on relying on the box office takings and keep delaying it. I'm definitely not placing any hopes for an April 2021 release. We'll just see the same clips over and over again until god knows when they decide to release it. Maybe 2 or 3 years from now. Because again I say, this virus isn't going to just disappear a year from now.

It was a great interview, Craig was in great form, he seemed really relaxed and excited about the film. Shame about Fallon being over the top as always

I thought the clip was great. I like the soundtrack, the siren was a cool effect.
Bond looking disorientated looked interesting I wonder why he's so confused, I love how frantic the action looks from the clips, Bond in real danger, reminds me of Casino and Quantum for that. Anyone else think the cinematography in Matera looks like a dream sequence? Like the way it's shot in a film wen they soften everything to represent a dream? Not saying it'll be a dream in the movie but that's the way it looks

Puzzled. I must not understand your note correctly. In the trailer(s) they show Bond at the end of the rope hanging off the bridge. It runs out of length quite short of enabling Bond to land on the lower level of the bridge. He falls the rest of the way. The fall wallops him pretty hard, as seen in the next shot, from ground level, showing Bond getting up but quite dazed. Shaken, one might say, not stirred.

Ok, just watched it. I mis remembered the shot. It's actually a shot looking UP at the bridge. It's at the 38 second mark and Bond is clearly not going to reach the bottom (ground level) with the length of 'rope' and angle of swing. He lands mid way on another tier of the bridge after hitting the wall.

  • It's so very strange to be analyzing a clip shown from a DC appearance on a late night talk show from a movie that just got delayed four months. This is like the Twilight Zone.
