Indeed. Always had faith in Cary. Glad this supports it.
And something suggest a very kinetic film. Most of their camera shots are in movement. Note when Nomi meets Bond at the club, the camera swirls around her. And when the Land Rover comes in direction of the camera, the camera goes towards it, while mounted on rails. We've seen the same thing on the helicopter footage towards the explosion. And then in the Atlantic road. All very kinetic. Also, whenever there's a close up on somebody, its perfectly centred.
All said and done, a trailer mash of the 5 Craig films will probably be a very beautiful trailer.
But if the story sucks, at least the movie will deliver visually. Plus, Fukunaga has already proven to be a good narrator.
That's true, and he is a good writer and literature savvy. I doubt he'd direct a film with a truly awful story. But as you say, if the story does suck, we'll have a pretty thing to take home, probably filled with Bondian moments.
I love that glimpse of Bond with the Harpoon (??) coming from behind the blinds, it looks so cool and ominous. Also the footage of Daniel at the end of the clip is possibly some of my favourite as his run of Bond, he looks like he did in Casino during the hotel scene, when he wins the DB5. Lashana looks great and Jeffrey Wright looks as cool as ever.
I was excited about this film before that clip, now I'm counting down the days. What a time to be a James Bond fan. This footage is exactly what we needed
I have to disagree because of Mexico being yellow in the PTS.
Then again, most of the film looked yellow @Walecs 😂
To each his own.
Looks to be in good shape, and good hands. April 2020 can’t come soon enough.
Kully B & Gussy G - "Boom Shot Dis". Runs about 3:42.
My main concern is whether the story is worth telling. If it's a good plot then I am very confident Fukunaga will tell it well and still allow us to enjoy the visuals along the way.
In a recent leak online of new material, there was said to be 15 minutes of a james Bond score:
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/radiohead-minidiscs-hacked-ok-computer-guide-847277/
Has anyone considered Radiohead for the actual score? Both Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood have scored film sountracks before. The latter proving very versatile - if not a little irreverent for John Barry purisits.
Radiohead's Spectre thee was interesting, but perhaps not good enough for the title track. But I'd be more keen to see them do the score and then perhaps the song on top.
Plus they would feel like a CJF choice. Especially given Radiohead's bonafide cinephile from word with people like Paul Thomas Andreson.
I adore this track from Suspiria:
In truth a colonial era dinner dance like Thunderball isn’t a real representation of 2019. This is and I’m all for it. And seeing how we drop bond into this world. One of bonds attributes for me is that he can fit in any situation. He’s a spy after all.
I’m hoping that fukanaga will make he locations characters unto themselves, rather than just a place to shoot. Looks like he may be doing that.
