    Yes FRWL and TMWTGG both counts as bond's appearance even the way appeared. The only bond film PTS without bond was LALD.

    For me FRWL and TMWTGG don't count as PTS with Bond.
    It's not the character Bond appearing.

    I'm all for a brief, Bond-less pre-title sequence in Norway and then pick up in Matera after the titles. However, I can't help but feel like the title song will be a better fit after Matera based on the subject matter so I'm assuming that's where the titles will be. My hunch, based purely on my own speculation and the gun barrel track - logos/gun barrel > Norway (very brief) > Matera > titles.

    The title sequence will most definitely start as the train departs Matera with Madeline on board.

    Matera is the PTS. It has been confirmed by the filmmakers many many times. Norway lake scene is a kind of nightmarish prologue before the classic, bombastic, PTS with Bond and Swann in Italy.

    Yup! Michael G Wilson did say that it’ll be around 20 minutes in length.

    Peter, I remember when Skyfall was in the midst of production. They claimed it was the longest PTS yet at 14-15 mins. I believe (don’t quote me on that one). I think this PTS is going to be unreal. Can’t wait to see the DB5 in action.

    Yes. It's still unfathomable to me that we are going to start the film inside the head of a supporting character. This is a bold move.

    I’ve always thought there should be more PTS’s that introduce the villain(s) and show them doing their thing, like TMWTGG.

    Very bold, but hopefully necessary. Something must transpire during this flashback that is essential to the rest of the film’s plot.

    SFX master Chris Corbould have said in one interview that the PTS will be 18 min while chatting about shooting the Matera mayhem, and that would include Safins attack in Norway, going by Cary's interview (don't remember the magazine)

    Thank you all! Been stalking this place for years and finally figured I’d pull the trigger and join!

    I don’t know how I’d feel about the cold open, then the gun barrel and then Matera. I guess I’d just have to see it

    Yep, things will play out as DonnyDB5 wrote. Basically the PTS will be set in two different times in the past, since Matera plays out right after SP (5 years before the main NTTD plot) and the lake scene when Swann was a kid.

    Ive gotta be honest. I really hope the PTS is longer than 20 minutes. We've seen clapperboards in the 50s for Matera and it would be a shame if they cut out a lot of that stuff in an effort to reach the titles quicker. Theres a lot to cover, safin, their romance, the big action stuff. I hope its done the service it requires.
