It's probably something he always says when in calbe vcars, as soon as it stops. Obviously, it works better if the cable car is actually at either end station, or a middle station for that matter. Bond probably just hadn't noticed they were hanging in the middle of the track, with no station in sight. Come to think of it, he may just have a bit of a compulsive disorder when it comes to cable cars.
So, before you go on a cable car with someone you barely know, always ask them first if they have such a compulsive disorder. There's a reason why we seldom see Bond in cable cars. Even in OHMSS he preferred to stay outside on the cable....
To get us back on track, the air tank thing in FYEO has always bothered me. I guess it was never explained properly.
Okay voting open for a few more hours! Then we shall Klebbie a nominee!
The academy voted like so:
With the announcement of a new Bond video game, lets look at the video game category and have ourselves a Bondie for best video game. I know that Goldeneye will get lots of love but Bond has been featured in quite a few video games and who knows maybe a surprise will happen here. Here are the list of nominees for best Bond video game!
What say you dear members of the academy? Who takes the Bondie for best video game?
@thedove Why is DAF the winner when YOLT had the same amount of votes?
Question seconded. Can't we kick them both in the shins? Or should we be demanding a re-count of the 1 member who voted for Count Lippe?
I apologize dear academy members. The accounting team of Price Waterhouse has reviewed and decided that I was mistaken. (Does this make me Steve Harvey?) I made a typo DAF received 8 votes and YOLT received 7 votes. My deepest apologies!
2. EON
3. NF
4. BS
5. JB007 (Gameboy)
Honourable mention:
FRWL05
In terms of being a Bond experience I guess Everything Or Nothing would probably take second place as it felt the closest to being a movie. But GoldenEye 007 is the best!
Lesson learned! From now on we shall stay in the Bond movie lane.
Those other four games were a huge part of my youth and I love them all. In the end though I will pick FRWL.
While every entry here is excellent and we can only hope to see such quality return to the 007 video game series, FRWL provides the unique opportunity to play as Sean Connery's Bond in a 1960's setting. Does it get better than that?
Yes I must say it seems open and shut to me: the others are all good Bond games, but GoldenEye 64 is one of the greatest games ever, and it also happens to be a Bond one.
Special mention goes to Everything or Nothing, for effectively being Pierce’s fifth Bond film, and the game that is most like a film. A great original cast (Willem Dafoe is great as the villain), great soundtrack, driving levels, and I really like the fact it is third person. In many ways it is even more OTT than Die Another Day, ramping up the levels of stupid (I mean Bond himself can turn invisible ffs) but as a video game, it is a lot of fun to play and that’s what matters.

EON is getting my vote. Its Brosnans 5th movie IMO
I was struck by a category in the James Bond and Friends podcast. That was Bond style. The fashions have always been on point, at least most of them. Lets see which film the esteemed academy members thinks has the best costumes and style!
So there you have it. What film should take home the Bondie for best fashion style?!?
Spectre for me is the best for Craig-era Bond fashion, the sizing is a bit better than the overly tight SF (though still not quite right), and the Moroccan Tan Brown Suit is delicious.
NTTD has probably some of the most casual and accessible outfits. I do like the blue connolly linen jacket he wears in Matera (if it wasnt an eye watering £500 I'd have one), the TF suits are much better fitting, and the casual stuff is pretty good (I have the RGT Waxed Canvas jacket). The commando outfit in the third act is bad ass too. But I take several points off for the god awful Alberto Massimo corduroy "sloop" suit he wears in the second half of the Matera sequence. Reminds me of the PB suit in the submarine bit of TWINE, and not in a good way.
When it comes to outfits, my favorites were:
1. Dr. No - the summer outfit that he wore in the beach, Honey Ryder's dress that she wore in the Dinner with Bond and Dr. No.
2. Goldfinger - His golf outfit that he wore in his match with Goldfinger, the outfit that he wore in the plane with Pussy Galore.
3. Thunderball - the polo shirts that he wore, and his red diving suit, his outfits here had more tropical feels moreso than Dr. No, Domino's outfit was also good especially her one piece bathing suits, her dress in the Casino with Largo.
4. On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Yes, Bond really looked good here, his golf outfit that he wore in the hotel, and his skiing suit, Lazenby's suits are also one of the best suits that Bond wore, his Dimi suits. Tracy also looked fabulous, almost I liked all of the clothes that she wore, from her sequins dress that she wore in her suicide attempt, her outfit in the bullfight scene, her fur coat in Switzerland and her outfit when Blofeld kidnapped her.
5. For Your Eyes Only - Bond's jacket when he's with Melina in her car, Bond's double breasted blazer in Corfu, the quilted gilet that he wore in the Monastery. Melina's outfit was also great her white coat when she's with her father, Timothy Havelock, her hoodie jacket when she killed a bad guy with a crossbow, her red dress in the Casino, and her black dress in Corfu.
6. Die Another Day - Bond's outfit when he infiltrated North Korea, his blue floral shirt in Cuba when he met Jinx, his Cashmere Turtleneck sweater in Iceland.
7. All of Craig's Bond Films - no need to explain this, one of the staples of the Craig Era is the fashion, the Craig Era was full of fashion, it's probably the most fashionable Bond Era, but the problem here was it's more focused on the clothes they wear than the actual films itself, the Craig Era looks and feels more like a lifestyle fashion magazine.
