Because movie play in my city/country and Sean humor (3th place) made this movie my second favorite Connery Bond movie, sometimes 3th. The GF/Moonraker sleeping factor moments that the movie having too (thanks to the pacing and music on those moments) always get me out of the movie. Medium movie, always a bit controversial with rankig this movie, TMWTGG and AVTAK higher then TSWLM and GF.
1) Opening briefing scene (for Bernard Lee, who is great here. "We do function in your absence 007!"
Eyebrow raise!
2) Bond gets cremated. The fact he doesn't have a handy gadget to get him out!
3) Lift fight!
4) "Hi, I 'm Plenty!"
5) Wint and Kidd, particularly their final reappearance on the Ship.

Good that you mention the diamond briefing with M @Mathis1. There are some similarities between this one and the one in GF. Both are very good with some funny lines. I will add it to my top 5.
"You're a little out of your league, aren't ya, sister?"
And when he tries to make that annoying kid go away. "Will you give it a rest, kid? All right, boys and girls! Here we go!" How he transitions from quiet annoyance to loud "cheerfulness".
Its got great lines and I love the moment a self satisfied Bond states "I've always wanted to go to South Africa!"
"You're going to Holland" comes M's blunt response!

I'm still not sure which Wint&Kidd scene I like the most. Their introduction, Amsterdam, Slumber Inc. or the final confrontation...
The wisecracks are perhaps nowhere on better display than when Bond and Plenty retire to his upper-level suite of the Tropicana only to find a quartet of hoods who have made themselves comfortable. Plenty's unceremonious exit out the window and into the pool prompts one of the most unexpected and most hilarious exchanges of the series, a quip so good I've seen it lifted for use in at least two other films. Bond: "Exceptionally fine shot." Hood: "I didn't know there was a pool down there."
But the scene is just getting warmed up with the reappearance of St. John's sultry and self-assured Ms. Case who mocks Bond's Franks with an apology about his "fulsome friend," adding without a hint of jealousy, "I'll bet you really missed something." Though the script would regrettably reduce St. John to cowering "Eeeee!"s and Goodnight-level mission-thwarting antics in the end, she is Fleming's heroine personified for much of the film. Lana Wood also, surprisingly, turns what was likely intended as little more than an airheaded gold digger into a character who reads as rather more savvy, one who exudes her own confidence and charm.
The Circus Circus business that follows is both astoundingly uncharacteristic in terms of the glamour and exoticism that defined the cinematic Bond of the 60s and oh so right for this equal parts sleazy and madcap romp through the underbelly of 70s Vegas. Norman Burton, an underrated and underused Leiter I've come to find more recently, snags his share of Mankiewicz's zingers here himself, spouting such gems as "James, next time pick a contact point when you're standing up," and "A mouse with sneakers on couldn't get through!"
Two other personal highlights are Bond's infiltration of Willard Whyte's penthouse where he faces the unusual problem of two Blofelds and one firing piton, and the rescue of ol' Willy from his desert hideaway. Both scenes offer tremendous visual appeal in the way of their architectural design, the former yet another masterful work from Ken Adam on par with anything he made for Bond in the 60s and the latter the modernist Elrod House with its saucer-domed rotunda open to the desert air and the sloping hillside below. Bond, with his garish thick, pink tie, tussling with Bambi and Thumper is silly but memorable. It's enjoyable simply to hear Barry's slinky cymbal-backed take on the James Bond theme while Connery strolls through cool retro-futuristic architecture, coat over shoulder.
Which moment will win this round? The elevator fight? A Wint&Kidd scene? Bond standing on the elevator in pure style before he meets two Blofelds? Killing the wrong Blofeld? Or even another one?
And is there some love for the car action? The mustang wasn't mentioned at all. At least the part on the car park is entertaining for me.

Other highlights: the PTS, briefing with M and Sir Donald Munger, parting words with Moneypenny, Slumber Inc., Circus Circus, confronting Tiffany over the drowning of Plenty, just about any scene with Wint and Kidd, and one perplexed Klaus Hergesheimer
Stumper of course was the antagonistic lovechild of Stamper and Thumper on the short-lived revival of James Bond, Jr. from the early 2000s. They just can't seem to make that show work. ;)
On a more serious note, I know foreign dubs sometimes rename characters for a myriad of reasons. Thumper was called "Pluto" in the Spanish dub for reasons unknown to me. Perhaps Thumper is Stumper in some other dub out there?
About the Stumper/Thumper discussion: In the german translation she is called “Klopfer“, which makes sense because the bunny in the movie Bambi is called the same in the german version. This is definitely better than Pluto?!
Talking about Disney characters: The police officer in AVTAK says to Bond that he is “Dick Tracy“ while in the German version he says “Donald Duck“. I once planned to play Donald Duck in the guess the character game before I realised that Donald isn't mentioned in the original language!

It sure does! I see others are breaking this part of the film up into separate moments. For me, it’s all part of the same sequence: riding up atop the elevator, mountaineering about on the building face, dropping into the loo, and why hello Blofeld x2.
My only guess is that whatever the rabbit’s name had been in the Spanish dub of Bambi it wouldn’t have been fitting for a bikini-clad vixen. Not, as you say, that “Pluto” sounds much better. Still...
In both dubs for Hispanic America, the characters are named Bambi and Thumper, with no change whatsoever from the English names.
It could be argued that both in Hispanic America and Spain, they should've translated Thumper to Tambor (drum), which is how the rabbit was named in the Hispanic dubs for Bambi, and in fact in Spain, where back then they didn't dub Disney films and thus received the Hispanic dubs as well.
Thumper, Pluto and Tambor all sound to me like fairly unsexy names in their respective languages, but I suppose the point was to create a contrast between the family-friendly names and the women who have them, who aren't family-friendly, or even friendly.
In the Spanish dub for Hispanic America, the cop says he is Cantinflas.

It's time for the movie with another great PTS, a centrifuge, good sport,deadly dogs (poor Corinne!), two boat chases, Bondola and gondolas, A LOT of destroyed glass in Venice, Jaws falling in love, a huge snake, awesome Ken Adam sets...and Bond going to space!
If you see @Max_The_Parrot flying around somewhere, tell him that he should join us. He is probably the biggest MR fan on this forum and his enthusiasm would be inspiring for all of us.

I also liked the centrifuge part as well. Much of what makes the movie for me are the sets and music. Any scene with Drax is a plus too.
