There you go, @QBranch, nailed it.

"If You (F.U.) Asked (question, Scrabble D) Me To" (me x 2). The beautiful Patti LaBelle song from The Living Daylights outro.

Do you have an item ready to go?

No! It's too early. I am not ready.

    Good on you, @QBranch.

You can offer one up, or the floor is open. And like MacArthur I may return.

  • #1. some ones after me ("Someone's after me" - though I'm having trouble connecting it to dialogue in Bond)

#1 is classic Rebus, you got it @Some_Kind_Of_Hero. Or "Someone's (some 1s) following me" (literally). Just as good.

I posted this as a descriptor for Bond's activity, I think you're right about the exact phrase not being in the dialogue.

    #2, that's not it.

Good on you @Some_Kind_Of_Hero, that clears them all.

Do you have another for the board?
  • Cool, got a new one here:

Apologies, @RichardTheBruce. I had an idea for a new one that I meant to get up sooner. I'll save it for a rainy day instead. :)

If you have it ready go for it @Dragonpol, doesn't have to wait.

A clue for what I posted above: character name.

Apostis! (Ah post hiss) in FYEO as played by Jack Klaff.

[Pardon my enthusiasm, that took some figuring @Dragonpol.]

Correct, @RichardTheBruce! Well done! I sometimes think my rebuses are too easy so it's good to hear that they can be a challenge at times! :)

    Midge

As George Lazenby might say, "Unusually small for a bodyguard."

Both of these last rebuses were on the challenging side.

I was thinking of Midge from Octopussy earlier in the day but then I thought there must be two parts to the name so I dismissed it again.

Correct on that placeholder, @Some_Kind_Of_Hero. Midge played by Cherry Gillespie.

I sometimes think my rebuses are too easy so it's good to hear that they can be a challenge at times!
    They're all hard until they're solved, @Dragonpol.
I was thinking of Midge from Octopussy earlier in the day but then I thought there must be two parts to the name so I dismissed it again.
Wasn't meant to be a distractor, I can keep it more focused in the future. History says if you have a guess, put it out there.

Okay I'm gonna turn this into a three-fer. Last one solved has the board to post one, or offer it up.

    How about these.

Ooooh yes, the triple-play. Well done @Some_Kind_Of_Hero. So I'll reveal your solutions.
    1. Cross-bow
    2. Sa-fin
    3. Fee-bee-wall-oar-bridge (script contributor on NTTD ;) )
    And to confirm:
    1. Crossbow as featured in FYEO. And classic Rebus.
    2. Safin the villain anticipated in NTTD.
    3. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, writer for NTTD.

Props and the floor is yours.

And here I thought I was looking at mosquitoes, hence the Denbigh/dengue quip. My mistake.
