@RichardTheBruce The image where you guessed "L(aces)" might be a bit obtuse on my behalf, but getting the ones where you guessed "SP(ectre)" and "IT(aly)" will give away the whole thing when you get them.

Okay, I got it, it's a line from GE:

"In London, April's a spring month."

    IN
    L
    ondone
    ape
    r
    IZ
    aaay!
    SP
    ring
    Mont
    H

Some of the rebus in this thread are a bit of a stretch imo, but that was quite good @Simon.

    We have a winner.

The laces being 'undone' was a bit of a stretch, and I was going to maybe add a second image of an unbuttoned shirt or something if this dragged out to show its more the concept, not the item in the image!

Only one that wasn't guessed correctly was the 'R' - it wasn't the letter R, its the logo for RealPlayer. Showing my internet age, apparently :D

Also, the French flag being backward wasn't me being awkward - just blowing the wrong way on the image! Was the first Google image result for 'french mountain flag'

    That made the solutions:

Two letter code for Indiana - IN

    L-plate - L
    Shoelaces that are - undone

A chimp, which is an - ape
    RealPlayer - Real

Israel Kamakawiwoʻole, better known as - IZ

    The Fonz going - 'Ayyyy!'

    Gameboy Advance, version - SP
    A Spectre - ring

A French mountain, or - Mont
    Helicopter landing - H

    IN
    L undone
    ape real
    IZ
    Ayyyy!
    SP ring
    Mont H

    In
    London
    April
    is
    a
    Spring
    month

Over to @QBranch for the next one.

Many thanks, @Simon. Hadn't heard of RealPlayer before!

Here we go, managed to make most of it from Bond imagery - enjoy!

Correct so far. What's going on with Le Chiffre? What's he doing?

"Tell" minus "te(a)". I had the QUARR down as well but your LeChiffre hint nailed the first line, unsurprisingly to QUARREL.

I'd say the next line is (Station) H and "ow"... so "HOW"?

I'm pretty sure what will be the outcome, what with the, uhm, Lt. Hip containers and two Koskovs being pretty clear to me, but I fail to find how the remainder makes up the leftover words, so I'll keep them to myself for now.

    QUARRell

    How
    Soon (Tek Oh) Can

It's not just a Soon Can, but a "Soon Can U" (the letter formed by the cans)
    (Gettler minus L.A. => get
    "Us?"
two Krabbe => to Crab ...

As I said, the final word is obvious, but its encryption, not so much. Aki minus Kalba's microfilm???

    Gett

    Us
(lovers on the card, and Roger Moore's line)
    two crab
    (actor Jeroem Krabbé)
    ki
(Aki minus Aaaaaaah, a vowel sound
    and Mr. Kalba's last "word")

OK, @RichardTheBruce, that was really teamwork. I think Jeroen is pronounced "crab-bay" instead of like crab, thanks to the accent aigu on the e, but so be it.

As I'm not nearly as familiar with putting those graphics together as you are, may I humbly suggest that you be the one to submit the next rebus...should @QBranch ask both of us to do so.

You definitely led the way on that effort @j_w_pepper.

Once @QBranch acknowledges I have a couple waiting in the wings.

Good work guys, but there's just one word missing to form the complete line of dialogue - I'll need that added in and solved before passing the baton.

I'll walk you through the Aki section of the puzzle: What is for sale? What is Kalba permitting Bond to view? Think of Bond's dialogue here.

What is for sale? A: Microfilm.
What is Kalba permitting Bond to view? A: Microfilm holder?

007: Mr. Kalba, my name is James Bond.
    Max: What of it?
007: You had an appointment with Mr. Fekkesh.
    Max: Well?
007: He won't be joining you. You have something I'm interested in buying.
xxx: Just a moment. I would like to bid for it too. You forgot your drink Mr. Bond.
    007: Thank you. Nostrovia.
Max: It seems you have competition, Mr. Bond. From where I sit... I fancy you will find the lady's figure hard to match.
007: Might the contestants please be permitted to view the article for sale?
Max: Well, now, who will start the bidding?
Barman: Mr. Kalba, sir, the telephone. An urgent call.
Max: Excuse me. Pardon me... This is Kalba. Hello? [Meets Jaws.]
007: Another (drink)? ... [Checks on Kalba.]

The Us is over the two pictures of Krabbe.

"Get us over to Crab Key"

Good point (maybe), but that doesn't solve the riddle why the final bracket with Aki and Kalba and the microfilm ends up to be "key".

@Simon Perfect mate, that's correct. The 'Us?' image overlaps the two Krabbe images and there's a shadow present to support the clue.

Back to the microfilm rebus- again, what is for sale? What is Kalba permitting Bond to view? No one mentions the word 'microfilm' in this scene. Line up the rebus with Bond's dialogue.

Oooooh - "Aki" (a key) minus "article" (-> key)... I guess that's it.

    And...what is an article?
  • j_w_pepperj_w_pepper Born on the bayou, but I now hear a new dog barkin'
The "a". An indefinite article, and if you take it away from Aki, ki (or key) is left. Which is what I tried to say in my last posting.

Very good. In grammar, an 'article' is: a/an/the - In this case, 'a'. Well done, guys. Team effort. Whoever wants to go next, have at it.

Quarrel, how soon can you get us over to Crab Key?

Quarrel [Q + United Artists (UA) + Rolls Royce (RR) + Le Chiffre's 'tell'; tell - T (tea) = 'ell' or 'el']
how [Station H (Hong Kong) + Bond's "Ow!"]
    soon can you [Soon-tek Oh/Hip + motor oil can + U-shape]
get [Gettler - (welcome to) LA; LA = 'la' or 'ler' (Get-la)]
    us ["Us?" (The Lovers)]
over ["Us?" image on top of/shadowing 2x Jeroen Krabbé]
    to Crab [2x Jeroen Krabbé]
key [Aki - Bond's line "Might the contestants at least be permitted to view the 'article' for sale?"; in grammar, an article = a/an/the; Aki - a = 'ki' or 'key']

    That's it? Any more?

Anyone want to play rebus now?

Something in a simpler vein, or so I always think.

Nice work, that was a rather fiendish but clever rebus.

I figured out the phrase early on (loved the Soon can U), but there several images whose meaning I couldn't decipher. I hadn't noticed the drop shadow hinting at 'over'. The TSWLM pic hinting at the word 'article', which would then lead to the letter 'a', is a rather complex deduction to make.
