I'm a traditionalist too. I don't have Netflix or the like and I don't download films or TV shows. I much prefer the world of tangible things (of which Ian Fleming himself was the master describer) though sadly in terms of entertainment they seem to be on their way out.
I fully concur. I don't have a streaming service (ok, I sometimes watch something on YouTube, but other than that, I want something physical). I have over 2,000 video disks in my collection (mostly Blu-ray...but still a number of DVD) and haven't watched a sizable part of them (say, at least one quarter). I won't need or wish to have a streaming service until I've kept up with my own stock.
But the missiles starts to fall, as Felix and Bond get through the helicopter, they saw the island being bombed, and.....
Bond: Wait! Felix! Madeleine and Mathilde?! We need to get them there! The missiles is falling!
Felix Leiter: We have no time! Well forget them, Paloma's waiting 😉 (Felix wink at Bond).
Bond: Am.....Okay.
And Bond is single again.....
End credits......
But.....
Felix and Bond saw Nomi hanging through a rope under the helicopter.....
Felix Leiter: Look James! What A View.....To a Kill!
(A reference to A View To A Kill).
The end.....James Bond will return.
I can't believe they didn't do a 60th anniversary boxset. Maybe it's because of their new deal with Amazon?
It must be.
They asked George Lucas to do some tweaks before they release another box set. These tweaks will include:
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli awarded CBEs (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2022 New Year’s Honours list while actor Daniel Craig was awarded a CMG (Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George).
Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli receives The Production Guild of Great Britain Contribution Award
Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced to be honoured as 2022 Pioneers Of The Year by the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation in Los Angeles.
Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were honoured with BFI (British Film Institute) Fellowships at the BFI Chairman’s Dinner held at Claridges Hotel in London.
Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli inducted into the TCL Chinese Theatre’s Forecourt of the Stars in Hollywood.
Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were recipients of the Great Creative Britons Award at Walpole's British Luxury Awards 2022.

CBE? But they're American, right?
I know, it’s super disappointing. I mostly collect DVDs instead of Blu-Rays anyways though, and in NA, the last several sets didn’t even get full DVD collections - just Blu-Rays - so going with all the actor collections is almost certainly going to be the best way I can have them all in a pretty neat, orderly fashion in a collection-ish form. And even though it was joked about above, who knows if things will be edited / censored with these things moving forward under new management.
By birth, but I suspect they're British citizens by now; dual citizenship most likely.
[*] Bond yells "NOOOOOO!" when Silva shoots Séverine.
[*] Bond tells Mathilde: "I am your father".
[*] In DAD, the invisible car is replaced by an invisible Tauntaun because that one is much better suited to Iceland temperatures.

Another tweak: In Skyfall, when Bond falls off the bridge, this is heard:
$12,000 CAD, what a joke.
Let's see if I could pass it as a Bond fan.....😅

Good for David. I hope he gets a chunk.
So with 2023, does the 60 Years of Bond Celebration (the films)
become the 70 Years of 007 Celebration (for the books)?
And for this discussion, I mean.
Me too. I mentioned it not too long ago.
I support your proposal, @MaxCasino. (Though I'm realizing technically the 60 Anniversary runs up to 5 October 2023.)
Related to Ian Fleming Publications activity I found this positive article interesting.

Literary Bond is always a little understated as the films have largely overshadowed the novels in the general popular consciousness. Still, the 70th anniversary of one of the greatest fictional heroes in the world is still worth noting and celebrating.
It looks somewhat like the the tea chest lettering that largely featured on the Bond novels after Richard Chopping designed the dust jacket for FRWL.
I think that’s a bit sad that the movies overshadow the films. They usually are just as enjoyable as the movies.
Yes, it is indeed. Sadly more people would rather watch a film than read a book. It's easier and quicker but it's their loss of course. The one very much depends on then other but the films have certainly long ago become the Frankenstein's Monster his creator Ian Fleming feared. Still, I shouldn't complain about success and exposure I suppose. :)
Have they said what format that this years editions will be?
I don't think he feared anything with regard to Bond on screen; he was pretty happy for it to be adapted in any way as long as he got the cheque, I think. He happily signed off on Jimmy Bond, after all.
I don't think one is better than the other, they're both excellent. And without the films, Fleming's 007 would be a curio fondly remembered but not a worldwide icon.
