That pic of Bond with Kara at his feet was the cover of the 9" single 'If there was a man' if I recall correctly!
I was expecting interrogating Pushkin to be #1, it is certainly my favourite Bond scene. No gadgets and Bond being Bond.
It's a fantastic scene. One of the best in the series for me.
Yep. I love the cold blooded intensity Bond has in that scene, he is utterly ruthless, it's frightening and captivating.
One of my favourite scenes in the whole series, wonderfully acted by Dalton and Rhys-Davies
While I agree the Pushkin scene is brilliant, I can understand why he picked that moment, and kudos to John Glen for picking that close up for Dalton to deliver this line!
Along with the Pushkin scene, this is easily one of the best moments in the film. So it's understandable that Nolan would pick it as his favourite scene. Dalotn really is superb throughout TLD.
And so, we sadly say goodbye to The Living Daylights. A great debut film for Timothy Dalton.
Tomorrow we move onto his second Bond film.
Licence To Kill
Cheers
taken for the 25th anniversary of Bond movies (I found out THAT much), sports a Vantage with an obviously German registration plate (from the city of Bochum). Although the final number 007 isn't available on German plates (meaning it is fake and just created for the photo), the look is uncannily that of those issued over here until the late 90s, in DIN Mittelschrift font. Does anybody know more about it?
Cubby: Pierce, I already explained to you that it wasn't our fault, it was NBC's. Security!
I don’t know anything about the photo itself but my lord do I love it!
I first saw this photo in a LIFE Magazine artcile celebrating Bond's 25th. I believe it was LIFE magazine anyway. I have vague memories of the article, excpet this photo took most of a page. Not sure about the licence plate.
Just looking at the 'gadgets' and props from previous films, they're mostly all from the Roger Moore films. Nothing that I can see, or is iconic from the Sean Connery movies.
I can spot some Gold Bars, Diamonds, Rosa Klebb’s Shoe, A Spear Gun, and what I think might be the laser from Goldfinger.
Licence To Kill
I believe it was a publicity shot for an exhibition of Bond props/gadgets/cars. The 'Bond in Motion' exhibition? Think it was in London, and it moved round the Country. I believe its now in the U.S.A. somewhere. Maybe our American friends here can shine some light on it? Saw this photo in one of the 007 Magazine issues many moons ago.
