Any thoughts on why this was so low key? I mean I am not sure that anyone was aware it was coming out. You would think the company or Apple might make a deal of it?

I don't know if that fills me with confidence or not. On the whole with the trailer it looks like a good game.

I am just so excited so what is everyone’s hope for this game

    A good story
The ability to beat it without micro trasactions
    0 ads
    Plenty of stealth action

    And yeah thats aboit it

    Oh and a card game

With the Apple Arcade subscription, there should be zero ads or microtransactions; if there are any I'd be extremely surprised and disappointed.

Otherwise I agree with you on what would make it great; a card game would be an awesome bonus!

Given the recent iPhone 15 keynote, yeah, I wouldn't have been super surprised to hear about it then given 007 seems like a fairly big franchise/partnership/whatever, but they tend to focus on fast paced, high end graphic type demos for presentations like that.

It is near the end of the month, isn't it? Didn't know it was out yet. Would love to hear some thoughts from fans here.

I played a level of the game this morning shortly after posting here. Not a fan of the touch screen controls but it felt nice to be playing a brand new Bond game for the first time in a long time. I’m told that you can play this back and forth between various Apple devices, so I’ll have to try this on my Mac.

The Bond they use for the dialog bits reminds me an awful lot of Roger Moore however, and I like that.

Maybe I'll try out that free Arcade trial this weekend and give it a go on my Mac instead too then.

I just looked: I have to pay a fiver a month to play games? I didn't realise that.

Is it playable on an iPhone or is the screen too small?

I got the free trial for one month, after that I’m probably abandoning the service myself unless I find any other reason to keep it. Perhaps eventually it will be released outside the arcade?

Playable on iPhone yes, it’s quite gripping actually once you get the hang of it. I’m just somebody who isn’t used to playing games on my iPhone. I just resort to my Switch if I want to game on the go!

EDIT; There are a nice selection of outfits from various films for Bond to wear once unlocked, including the likes of the Tactical Outfit from NTTD, his Charcoal Outfit from DN, and his Cuban outfit from DAD. Adds for a nice bit of replay value.

Yes, I might go for that although I know I'll forget about it and they'll have me! :D

The outfits sound like a pretty cool idea actually. Sound like they know their market!

Oh yeah! Some of the other outfits include his white tux from SP, his climbing outfit from FYEO, the ski chase outfit from TWINE, and the safari suit from TMWTGG. The Moore outfits particularly excite me considering this generic Bond strongly resembles Moore’s Bond from his early films.

Like most free trials thankfully, you can immediately cancel after signing up and it'll end after your trial ends with no further charge. That's my go-to with free trials cause there's no way I'll ever remember to cancel in time.

Good choices! Is the Skyfall Soctland outfit in there? Love that one.

Not that I have seen unfortunately. Though I’d imagine there will be future updates for the game as time goes by, so maybe in the future perhaps?

    MERGED FROM A NEW THREAD

Figured this way I can post my theories and my views on timeline etc

So Trevellyan is a spectre agent in this world? Its clear bond thought he was dead so this has to be after the events of goldeneye

And when does bond realize he is trapped in the cypher program?

Also all the references in Q’s lab is so cool

Would it be possible, please, to continue posting in this thread for the game using spoiler tags if you wish to have a "spoiler discussion"? Thank you for helping us to keep the forum from having too many overlapping threads.

The knocking out and then ending up in his flat screams a dream, or that someone is playing with Bond's mind.

Just saw Calvin Dyson's review on the game and with all those elements from past Bond films I really want to play it. I just hope they haven't ignored OHMSS or Dalton era, which sometimes happens.

Regretfully, I don't have an Apple device, so not sure if I'll ever find out.

I don't think they would've likely to ignore those, especially that they're gaining popularity these days (with OHMSS being an important element in NTTD), I don't think so.

Same, I don't have any apple device, so it's impossible for me to find out.

Hoping they would release more Bond mobile games, as much as the video games are highly regarded, I doubt many people are still playing them now, most people are now focusing on mobile games.

And by the way, are there Bond Girls in the game?

So far no Bond girls are present in the game aside from Moneypenny, who bears a striking resemblance to Naomi Harris. Oh and M is female and is close to a Judi Dench type.
