Would love to see this, but I think it's highly unlikely Amazon will do this, at least not for their first film. It's a great idea creatively, but financially they would be in uncharted waters. They know "modern Bond" movies in the same vein as Craig's tenure make very good money in the 2020s, they can't yet say the same about period piece Bond.

Would the Amazon/MGM (Heyman/Pascal) have likely to affect the development of the new Bond 'Project 007' Game? It's been a while.

This just in: Amazon is thrilled to present its first 007 TV show spin-off - Temple: The Adventures of Subway Couple (TTAOSC for short, I guess).

Completely unexpected but sounds like fun. Anthony O'Donnell has appeared in Doctor Who (The Sarah Jane Adventures), while Jo Cameron Brown was the dialect coach in movies such as Wonder Woman.

Guys, we're less than 48 hours to away! Feels good to be here where we can finally start to expect things, as a reward for 3.5 years of patience.

Yeah. It feels good to be a Bond fan right now.

Meh, I’ll wait and see. The new regime has a lot to live up to.

Yeah. I have the feeling as well. But just trying to stay cautiously optimistic.

I’ve already settled with the conceit that the Bond movies are finished, and if they were to complete a box set with all 25 films that’s all I’d need and Amazon can just do whatever they want with the property. From here on it’s a different thing. I do like the producers they’ve picked, but we’ll see.

I have 10€ on there never being a full 25 film boxset. There will be a 26 film collection including the first Amazon film in order to cement that being part of the legacy.

I thought the same thing 30 years ago, and they still made Casino Royale. So I'm optimistic.

I'm younger than Craig but older than the next Bond.

Period Bond junior won't happen, most likely. Perhaps as a spin-off, you know, 'content'. Aidan Turner for 3 films, perhaps a fourth and be done with it. Men don't age the same way as they once did.

I feel the whole thing has come together so quickly. Broccoli/Wilson leaving, Pascal/Heyman taking over, Paul King announced as director, Whishaw's return... it's pretty crazy.

That looks like a lot of fun actually! Pretty busy day Bond news-wise.

The boxes on the right sold me on this show. This duo is Victor Tourjansky times two!

    Bravo, Amazon! You're redeeming yourself.

I don't think people realize just how different these new films are going to be from here on out. You can be sure that this new team will strive to make it their own while using enough of the 007 to make it seem familiar. They won't want to alienate old fans but I believe they will push the envelope. Since they have a relationship with John Williams, that alone would reimagine the music itself.

I believe Amazon is doing their presentation on Wednesday; hopefully this will include Bond.

Is it likely they’ll have anything to talk about? It’s so early. Do they announce really early stuff at CinemaCon, like director announcements?

Probably a release window, “Fall 2027”, and a commitment to a full theatrical run, merchandising, business as usual for Bond etc, to get cinema owners on side.

I truly believe that Cuaron gets half the recognition that Nolan or Villeneuve does, with twice the talent. He is truly a visionary director, and If Amazon has somehow managed to snag him it would be a major coup, and put B26 on track to exceed any we've ever seen, which feels weird to say about a franchise that's over 60 years old!

I think they do their presentation for their upcoming projects at 8pm Las Vegas time, so it could potentially be a while as they're 8 hours behind us (the UK in this instance). As said above it'll likely all be early stuff.
