    Do you honestly think there'll be people other than EON doing Bond films once the rights become of public domain? Or will they try to retain the rights as much time as they can before it can even happen?

    What won't enter into the public domain are the copyrighted and trademarked aspects of Bond films. If a Bond film doesn't look and sound like a Bond film, what's the point? Given the hundreds of Sherlock Holmes stories since the character entered the public domain, how many of them have been made into films? I shouldn't worry too much about Bond. There'll no doubt be a few good stories, but most hardly worth the effort.

    McClory conceived of the Thunderball story. As part owner of the story, he was able to make the film, but without those elements we associate with an EON production.

    I'm aware that the idea of ​​a period Bond is not to the liking of many here, but what if they did it as a one-off to satisfy the most fanatical? It doesn't have to be released in theaters. Right?

    Fab 4 graphs : "These early signatures are very tricky to assess. I remember seeing an autograph book with about three complete early sets being sold for over £10,000 by a UK book dealer. Turned out all were fakes but they had me fooled. Luckily, I didn't have the funds to buy them at the time"

    Yes, but most of the Sherlock films aren't adapted from the books either so they don't have to deal with the estate.

    I'm getting a little scared at how many people are returning in my life in the last month. Some people I haven't talked to in years. Yet, since I lost my (main) job a month ago, so many people have been popping in and out, it seems. I wonder what the meaning behind it all is, maybe divine intervention. I'm happy about it, but I still have some depression from my job loss, as they felt like a family. I know that's the business, and life. As for other jobs, I want to just get out of my town for awhile, for work. Sorry to post such a bipolar post. But there is definetaly some things going on in my life. Don't worry I'm not thinking of hurting myself or others. My support group is strong, and they know I will get better.
