The United States had Uncle Sam. The Canadians had...this guy.
STOP THAT GUY! HE STOLE MY TEETH!
Actually this is the face you make when someone says Bourne is better than Bond. Well it's the face I'd make anyway. :))
Jason Bourne....sounds like a cheap asian knock-off product....
Sounds about right.
Don't be silly @Thunderfinger , it's clearly Jason Bond ;)
He carries a Walter Ping-Ping Kay, drives an Olsen Marsden BP5, and orders his martini "agitated, no swirl."
Please support their cause.
Bourne is cool in his own way. Obviously no other film will have the magic that Bond has for us but the first three Bourne films are great and we should be glad they exist. I can't remember where this is from, might have been on here, but someone once described how Bourne came along kicked the spy genre up the arse and kept on pushing it until it gave birth to Casino Royale. And I don't think that's too far off, to be honest.
I think that's a bit unfair. From what I could tell all he said was some instances of sexual assault are worse than others. That's not untrue is it? I know I wouldn't feel as traumatised by someone grabbing my arse as I would them raping me. It's a sensitive issue so he probably shouldn't have said anything, but I don't think he meant to devalue some of the victims or anything like that. I think he just meant that while sexual assault in all its forms are inexcusable, lumping all these different behaviours under one term can muddy things a bit.
I just thought Kingsman looked beyond stupid in those first couple of trailers. Caught the film finally and loved it, same with the sequel. People are missing out on a lot of great content if they're avoiding anything akin to James Bond.
Fair enough, I can't really remember the trailers for the first one but I was excited because of the names behind it.
And I was genuinely surprised at the poor reviews the sequel got to be honest. I wasn't keen on the direction they seemed to be taking at all when I saw the trailers, but I thought it was almost on par with the first one. I'll have to watch both of them again at some point.
EDIT: $400 million worldwide on a $104 million budget. Not the best, but it doesn't come close to spelling doom for the series, either. As long as we get a trilogy, I'll be happy.
