My birthday was last Sunday; Monday we had a public holiday; yesterday was Global James Bond Day and today is my 10th anniversary here at the 'new digs', MI6 Community! That's a pretty sweet 4-day celebration. It sure doesn't feel like I've been here ten years. Maybe fifty?

I remember when I first joined in late 2011, everyone was getting excited for B23, and the press conference was just around the corner. It was very memorable following the 'Skyfall' production and sharing this experience with other Bond fans. I joined twitter just to find every scrap of info I could about the film and report it here. Made a lot of SF fan art back then - some of it I'm proud of, and all of it inaccurate to what would unfold in the film. It was a great time to be a fan. And now, here we are, at the end of another Bond actor's tenure. What a journey it's been.

It's such good fun reading all your posts and chatting with fellow Bond fans all across the world, it's pretty cool to be able to do that. I've become less active here the last few years - there was always lots of new threads and interesting comments being made that I didn't get to reply to over the years. Sadly there's not enough time in the day to go to my job, work on projects and say everything I want to say on the forum. Honestly though, I think I just prefer to sit back and let others do the talking (and gee-whiz, some of you can TALK).

Anyway my friends, here's to another ten years.

So it was 16 years ago today that I originally signed up to the old forum Keeping The British End Up.
What a journey it's been so far. Hope the next 16 are as exciting and fun.

So today marks my ninth anniversary of joining MI6 Community. Just to give you an illustration, that's the space between the GoldenEye PTS and the rest of the film. So a very long time. ;)

Anyway, I just wanted to say a word of thanks to one and all for allowing me another year of membership. This is still as great a place to discuss Bond and other topics as the day I joined. Largely that is down to the membership and of course the mods and admins keeping order and preventing troll and spam infestations. My hearty thanks to you all! :)
